No, you don't have to show your whiteboard after quant. You can move to verbal straightaway.

About time break, it was not `troublesome` but, yeah, you have to switch from quant mode to verbal mode in 30secs, the default time for verbal screen before the verbal section starts.

I would appreciate a break between quant and verbal because I am not good in verbal and I generally start with verbal rather than quant, but life is hard and we can't get everything we wish for, right?
This online gmat comes with its benefits, and I love the format, but we have to adjust to the rules. I felt the online whiteboard was too much to `standardize` the test, but now with the new online gmat with physical whiteboard ( and reduced stress of not doing math with keyboard ) , I personally feel totally OK with no breaks between quant and verbal.

In my first online gmat I felt the quant section was easier than usual and I reached the last question with more than 10mins left, so I took my time on the last question and gave myself some time to relax. I thought I got all correct and was hoping Q51, but scored Q50.
This time, I slowed my pace overall and avoided any silly mistakes, double checking my answers almost every question.

Long story short, I would reconsider my approach to the test rather than worrying too much about the `break` between quant and verbal.
I don't think worrying about the break is going to do any good to us. It will only stress us about stuff that we don't have control over.

Everyone's strengths and weaknesses are different. So, take all the info on this great platform but I think it is better to customize your approach depending on your strengths and not to worry about things that matter less.

Oops, sorry I went too far off the topic. But yeah, I wish there was a break, but we can't help it.
Just tackle the quant beast and proceed to tackle the next one.

Cheers,

Hi Everyone,
Just finished my Online GMAT with physical whiteboard.
Almost everything was same as in previous online whiteboard version, except, you need to show that the whiteboard is clean 3 times.
1) At the start of the test.
2) After completing quant and verbal, before taking break.
3) After completing the test.

Please be careful as the usual instruction pages contain this requirement of showing the cleaned whiteboard. So, avoid your urge to skip the pages without reading it.

Let me know if you have any query.

Cheers,

Hi

Do you need to show the whiteboard clean after the quant section has ended and before the verbal has started ?
I understand there is no time-break between quant and verbal. Was that troublesome for you?

souvik101990 : If its not a problem, can you post a picture of the whiteboard, markers, and the eraser you used?
Am sure you will get a great score on verbal.
Ps: Excited for the Mba fair!

I did it for him, on a previous page.... same page you were talking about being disappointed with your score....

Hi, are you able to see the "begin exam" option on the right side of GMAT online dashboard where you also get the option of rescheduling and cancelling the exam?

Souvik mentioned that he had to wait for the proctor for a very long time. He started 15 minutes late. Are you in the test and figured out how to get in there and wait for the proctor? (That’s a puzzle of its own)

That’s after he started his session.

That's strange because the option should appear exactly 30 minutes before your slot. Maybe you can try contacting GMAC and keep refreshing the page in the meanwhile. The option to start the test is displayed on the bottom right of the screen.

A somewhat similar thing happened with me just yesterday. I was waiting in the OnVue window where the video recording starts and it says your test will begin within 15 min and it did not for 80 or so minutes. At that time I could not open any window or move towards my phone to check if someone had contacted via call as all exam rules are supposed to be followed the minute recording starts.
I hope your proctor comes soon. I know, it's super frustrating :(

Did you try a different browser? Private/incognito mode? Are you sure popups are not blocked on the browser - you can see red icon on the browser address bar?
I hope it's the same account you used for registration, and I hope there are no timezone mismatch issues.
Sorry, Just trying to rule out all possibilities.

I think his/her (@JL2020) exam started. mine started the moment i clicked on begin exam.. I was expecting a small gap for me to chill after taking all the room pictures, but exam started suddenly! (and that's a plus for me)
I hope it is not his browser (gmatclub.com) that is running in the background. The pearson window will not appear. I read somewhere something similar.

Hi,

Can somebody guide why there is an 18% tax levied on the application fees for online GMAT.

there is no such tax in the case of GMAT at the test centre.

Thanks
Mayank

Hey guys. My proctor showed up an hour late!! Which was pretty frustrating. But in general I think it went well. To me the quant section was easier than test center. Especially the first 5-10 questions were super easy.
