Has anyone taken the kira video test recently ? What kind of questions can we expect ?

It actually is quite weird
Very unrealistic, very distracting, practice talking in the camera than in the screen where you see yourself

Pre-recorded recording will play
and then, they'll ask you to put up a prompt
30 secs to think and 1-2 mins to record yourself with an answer

i will be applying in R2. just wanted to know how am i supposed to submit the video essay ? will it be after submitting the whole application or will i be asked to record the essay before and then submit the application?

I believe what you are asking about is the Kira Talent Video that is part of the "Program-Specific Questions" section of the application. All you have to do is follow the link that they provide in the application. The videos on there are submitted by Kira Talent to Penn State. That being said, I do not know when the Kira Talent part is due. Some other programs give you 48 hours from the application deadline to submit the Kira Talent video.  I would reach out to AdCom and ask them.  Otherwise, the safe bet is to get it done prior to the application deadline and submit your application. Hope that helps!
