Hi NavneetKumar7. great to meet you
Indeed you are probably too old (actually too experienced) for "regular" MBAs, BUT, luckily for you, there are several full-time MBAs for senior applicants (the best being: Foster GEMBA, Stanford Msx, MIT Sloan Fellows, USC Ibear, and LBS Sloan)
you can watch my video: MBA Over 30 here https://youtu.be/DFVqE7WMinM

Also, after you watch the video, send me your CV (and GMAT split) to shimriw@ARINGO.com and I will try to help further

I’m currently in a SWF PE as an Associate, had quite a track record of leadership positions and initiatives in schools, but can’t seem to find stuff or ideas for “engaged community citizenship” for Harvard. Please kindly advise

Hello Shimri, I have 11 years experience in Software and currently managing a team. I would like to continue in Technology industry. I’m targeting software development leadership roles or senior product management roles post MBA. I’m more inclined towards doing regular MBA in US rather than MSX or other programs suggested above. Is it achievable? Can you please share your thoughts?

I’m Major Mukul Kumar, currently serving in Indian Army as a logistics officer in Army Ordnance Corps, we deal with the planning, procurement, preservation and further issue and disposal of not only general and technical stores but also armament and ammunition like critical stores. I am a short service officer and currently doing pretty well in my career. I have been in top lot, considering all the career prospectives and will definitely be absorbed permanently in the organization.
But I believe, I have potential and I can do good in corporate too which offers better growth opportunities. I am a B Tech in electronics and communications and will be getting my MBA in supply chain management next year.
I seek guidance from you regarding is it correct to leave Army and pursue for MBA from top business school. Will the work life balance be good. Do I have any scope or chance to be admitted in top US universities.
I shall be grateful to you.

sounds like you have quite a profile! wondering more about your undergrad, GMAT, hobbies, work experience etc. community experience is just one factor... send me your profile to shimriw@ARINGO.com and I will try to do a quick SWOT and help further

Hi Shimri,

Thanks for giving us the time to ask questions.

I currently work in Energy and Sustainability Consulting (not MBB), and my post-MBA short term goal is to go back to Consulting at MBB. How should I incorporate this in my essay and interview?

Long term goal: Partner in Consulting or be an executive in Fortune 100 companies.

Should I be more specific and say that I want to work with Sustainability, X and Y topics post MBA? I heard that most people don’t really have a say in choosing the project in a specific industry just after school? So, how should I answer the short term goal?

I will appreciate your suggestion on this.

11years is really on the high side. if you can show it is 10.5 that would be better :)
you can still go for "Regular" programs, with a good GMAT and more importantly story

sorry, missed this one. not sure what the question is, but career switching and consulting is probably the most popular industry for post-MBAs, among most top MBA programs...

Hi shimri, I am successful first generation woman social entrepreneur in the field of education from India with a background in computer engineering and reasonably good social initiatives showcasing leadership skills and a few recognized awards and certifications too. With 1.5yrs of tech experience+ 7-8 yrs of business experience, can I get into full-time program in Stanford or Haas (I currently live in bay area, California)? Starting to study for GMAT only now. What are my chances? How should I proceed?
Post MBA want to get into edtech preferably or social responsibility jobs.
