hi everyone i found this in the gmat club mathbook , and i don’t understand why we didn’t consider X2 from the point B YET the line AB coordinates of B are (X2,Y2)?

Sorry I didn’t follow the exact question. But if it was how to calculate the slope for 2 points - (x1,y1) and (x2,y2), it could be either (y1-y2)/(x1-x2) or (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) should give same results
