Hi secretofreund,
Not too sure - your GMAT is slightly higher than the MIT average, which is good.
Your GPA, on the other hand, is below 80% if I get that correctly. Then even in Canadian standard it's a B+, which will be slightly challenging. You are an Indian engineer, which some people would consider to be a slight disadvantage since you're profile group is already overly represented.
You provided very limited information. Based on what I see here, I would assume working on your essay and get a good application package set up, submit it in round 1 will be your best bet. Write an optional essay if you think there is something that would help you catch the adcom's eyes.
I would recommend you applying to Carnegie Mellon as well. They love engineers (check their class profile), and your gmat will give their average a lift - most schools use that as an indicator of the prestige they carry. Also, try some second tier schools (aim for top 50), which many of them would kill to get you on board for your GMAT achievement.
At the end of the day, there is very little you can do or change at the moment if you are applying in round 1 or even round 2, but have a great application and hopefully that will help. Good luck!
