When can an applicant expect interview notification after the submission of the application? Also, do international applicants have to schedule their interviews as well?

Hi,

I checked the threads for last year and as per those threads interview invites to internationals should start rolling by 25th Jan or so. All the best!

P.S. Have you completed the video essay questions?

feel slightly out of zone for the Kellogg MBA video essay. Can the veterans share what kind of questions are asked in the Video essay?

My video essays were a breeze. I got 3 questions, which were pretty basic. If you have gone through the entire application process, you are already prepared for this. Second question is same for all i.e. your goals and why kellogg? While the first and the third questions were typical interview questions e.g. how did you tackle a signifiant roadblock in professional career and what was the outcome?

I would not worry about the video essays as it is the last thing on your application that is reviewed. They would have already made up their mind whether to invite your for the interview by that time. Unless you go horribly wrong, video essays won't make or break your application.

Apart from the standard question on why mba Why Kellogg, the two other questions were:

1) tell us about a time when you were made to work with a team that you did not want to? How did you handle the situation?
2) which is your favourite holiday and why?

Same for me and I ordered my GMAT score report before Christmas. I double checked the GMAC site and it was ordered for Kellogg.
Ok good deal, that makes me feel better. I think they have probably received them but there is some additional level of input on Kellogg's end that is required to get the status changed.

Good luck to you!

You made sure you picked the right program at Kellogg (i.e. 2 Year MBA) since I remember they had a few options on GMAC site given Kellogg has multiple offerings?
Yes, I remember seeing a few options as well. I just confirmed I did select the 2 Year MBA option.

I'm not too worried about it since the App Status page states, "Please note, unofficial test scores will be accepted during the review stage, however, all applicants should ensure that official test scores are sent to Kellogg for verification purposes." I am mostly just curious to see if others were experiencing the same.

Hi, I had this same issue and called the admissions office. It turns out there was a duplicate profile created for me- one profile had the GMAT score, while the other had my submitted application. Sounds like it’s a common occurrence and it only took a minute to fix, so I’d recommend calling to sort it out.

Done with the video questions. The waiting game begins. Questions that I got were:
- What would I change I were made in charge for a day?
- What do I want to pursue post-MBA and how will Kellogg help?
- A time when I failed, the reason behind that, and lesson learned.

Hope this helps. Good luck to all!

Congratulations on the invite. When did you submit the application? Also, could you tell a bit about your profile?
Thanks!

Separate email? Don't all applicants get invited? On campus? Congrats too!

No, not a separate email! I think everyone who requested on campus everyone is invited - just finally got around to scheduling mine and updating my status here :)

Nope. Wondering if all the invites above are on-campus?
