According to U.S. agricultural statistics, the rate of honeybee colony collapse has slowed over the last several years, the number of which will however continue to decrease unless something drastically changes.
However is an interjection , We must use Comma on both side of it. or after However if it is starting a sentence.
A. years, the number of which will however - - Incorrect - Comma missing before and after however
B. years; the number of colonies, however, will - Correct
C. years, however the amount of colonies will - Incorrect - Colonies - Countable - So amount of incorrect (Used for uncountable nouns)
D. years; the amount of which will, however, - Incorrect - Colonies - Countable - So amount of incorrect (Used for uncountable nouns)
E. years, when the amount of the colonies will, however, - Incorrect - Colonies - Countable - So amount of incorrect (Used for uncountable nouns)

Sentence Error Analysis:
"The rate" acting as the subject with its verb "has slowed" forms Clause 1, which is followed by Clause 2 without proper connection using either ", + FANBOYS" or "semicolon". This form of sentence structure is error nous and falls under the error category type named run on / comma splice error .
Option Analysis:
As per the above stated point, options A, C, E are eliminated.
Option D is incorrect for using "the amount of" with a countable noun "colonies". The correct usage would be "The number of colonies", which option B uses correctly.
Therefore, option B is the correct answer.
