Hi there, I'm a re-applicant to SOM as well, was waitlisted in Round 3 without an interview. I applied Round 1, haven't gotten an interview invite and I haven't gotten a rejection email...what does it mean if I haven't been interviewed at all? Should I expect a rejection dec 6 or is there a chance I could be invited to interview before then?

May you give me some idea about what is the probability of getting selected for International applicant in Round 2 in Yale?

Hi guys,

May you give me some idea about what is the probability of getting selected for International applicant in Round 2 in Yale?

My thoughts are that the probably depends on where you are applying from e.g. India/China will be much more competitive. Being an 'international' applicant means it could be easier or harder depending on where you're applying from.

In terms of the actual probability, other than the high level acceptance data (you can find that yourself at a number of places), we don't have accurate data - just self-reported which is biased/unreliable. Good luck!

Hi, I am applying from India and I would give you a sneak peek of my profile.

B.Tech.: IIT
7.88/10
Work ex. 6 yrs. in a PSU ( Govt. Of India Enterprise)
Profile: Consulting in Clean Coal sector. Handled team to implement e-tendering. Involved in many diverse professional assignments and nature of job always necessitated to work as a part of team.

GMAT: 750 (AWA: 5.0 and IR: 8.0)

Now can anyone guide me about my chances of making into YALE?

bumping this up. If it helps, when I was waitlisted in Round 3 I took myself off the waitlist to work on strengthening my application for Round 1. So i was not rejected from the waitlist before.

I haven’t heard anything from Yale since my interview. Is that normal? Do you think they have different communication plans for people who they are going to admit vs. reject? See how my mind races to the worst possible scenario ? lol.

Even I haven’t heard back on anything since my interview. Probably they call the admits? And mail the rejects?! Haha anxiety is killing me!

Does anyone know the situation with Dean Snyder? Is he on sabbatical? Will the current acting dean eventually become the dean?

No, there isn't any communication between interview and admissions outcome day (December 6th for R1), unless of course you initiate it.

During Interview Day, the acting dean said that Dean Snyder was on sabbatical specifically to travel to the Global Network schools to strengthen those relationships and build up that program. So I'd imagine he is truly expecting to return. I believe I also read this somewhere.
