So it seems I won't get invited, I checked the portal and it doesn't show any update and it seems like the portal get updated a few hours before the emails are sent.

Keep the faith! That wasn't true for me - I checked the portal maybe 20 minutes because I received my invitation and it hadn't updated.

You mean you got an email before the portal got even updated?

To the guy who suggested to call them :) I'm in, let's call as a parent of an anonimous applicant who passed out from waiting haha

No, I'm sure the portal was updated when I got the email because I frantically and immediately logged in to see the change... but it wasn't updated at 10AM when I checked and I got the email at 10:20AM, so I don't think it not being updated yet is an indication that it's a ding!

I'd say don't take it personally. You can never know, maybe it's a recommender who screwed up....

Absolutely agree. You should have taken precautions and discus with recommender your chances.
