Received interview invite for R2 on 12/6.

They want all interviews for R2 completed by 1/10. I am completing a virtual interview considering I will be unable to visit Atlanta because of work.

No, this is too soon to conclude that. Keep hoping and work on other apps. If you are domestic (US), then it is possible until the last week of the interview deadline.

What is the expectation for when/how R2 admissions decisions will be communicated? I see that pretty much all R1 admitted applicants were notified via phone call, but I imagine Emory will not be able to make enough phone calls on 1/24 to inform every admitted applicant for R2.

If the news is admitted -- would you expect to hear earlier than 1/24? I.e. if you are waiting til 1/24 for a decision, is that likely not a good sign?

Any insight would be appreciated -- I will be very anxious until I hear the result.

Hi, I get your feeling man. See last year they only sent e-mails. This year we got calls a day in advance. So for a 24th Jan result, expect a call anytime after 23rd morning (or see the waves coming).
