hey round 2 applicant here i havent yet got an interview call.....is it futile waiting now since so many round 2 applicants have already got an invite? man i really needed an admit in KF....seems like I will have to let go of UNC KF as well..... another rejection i guess.....this indian IT male profile will never let me get an admit in a good US university.... seems like I am condemned to write pathetic SQL queries and JAVA programs for life

Do not lose hope dude ... they must have been busy with the EA results.
You might get a call now. Even I am an Indian IT male. You need to play your cards well and this will fall in place.

Do not give up!

@ankurgupta03- till when does the admission office roll out interview calls for any particular round? I also submitted in R2 and while it's a little early to lose hope, still better to know what to expect....

I'm not sure the data for this exists to accurately say, since this is the first year K-F has done interviews by invitation.

I submitted my application back on 2 Dec in R2. Haven't heard anything yet from UNC. Just talked to my recommenders and one of them told me that she submitted an already prepared document instead of answering each question. She told me that her document had answers for every question on the form.

Can anyone comment that whether not getting an invite yet could be due to this peculiar recommendation or could it be anything else.

P.S. : I believe that other parts of my application were quite strong and that my GMAT (720) is also pretty decent.

atulg14, It is to early to be nervous. It has just been 2 weeks and I think the decision date is somewhere in February.
If you are afraid about this fact, you can mail to the ADCOM stating your query.
Also, ask your recommender whether there was an option to upload a letter instead of answering the questions.
I think many schools give you that option. If there was an option indeed, then there is nothing to worry about.

Please help.

I can't say for sure but usually the earlier you apply more the chances of a scholarship.
But that shouldn't stop you from applying.
Make sure to do well on your essays.

Yes, there certainly is. I have seen many students get through R3 last year.
Am not sure about the scholarships though

UPDATE: Infact there were some fellowships.
Here is the link: calling-all-unc-kenan-flagler-applicants-class-of-173476-820.html#p1500915
There are few more reports of fellowships.

So definitely go ahead and apply.

Yes, there is still money left to be allocated in Round 3.

Hey alwayswaiting,

Can we people, who have been waitlisted, hope to hear in Round 2, or all waitlisted candidates are revisited only after all rounds have completed? If considered in Round 2, how big are the chances for scholarship?

How seriously will a school take slight mistake in the resume?? Just realised that in my Kenan application I made a very small mistake in the CV (instead of 2014 typed 2015 :P :| ) .... is that something that can be overlooked?

You could write to them stating you have an updated resume and send the corrected version along, hoping they dont bother to cross-check the two versions

I'm pretty sure they will re-evaluate waitlisted applicants in future rounds, but since things have been changing this year in admissions-land (mostly around interviews), I can't say for certain. The best you can do is keep yourself known to the adcom, make a concerted effort to shore up the weakest parts of your resume, and make sure you have a plan in place in the event that K-F does not take you off the waitlist.
