This is an amazing thing to learn ! I believe they offer you a Fee Wavier above 730. I have read that some where.

I don't think your GMAT score is relevant, I went to their booth at the Inside the MBA tour last week and they were giving out Fee waivers to anyone who visited the booth

I just received an application fee waiver too! The email stated the GMAT score as the reason why I got it, so it might have to do with both having a high GMAT score (I don't know what's their threshold though) and visiting UNC on or off campus.

I was going to submit my application this weekend, so that was a very pleasant surprise! :)

I too got the fee waiver. No reasons mentioned though.

A pleasant surprise! Received an application fee waiver! :)

Congrats! Did you ask for it or did they just send you an email offering a fee waiver?

Thanks!
Even I received an application fee waiver from them. I think they are offering app. fee waiver on the basis of GMAT scores.

So did I .

Do they just send out fee waivers or did anyone reach out to them? I have my GMAT score saved, but haven't put in other stuff into my application yet.

Hi anupamgupta2112,

Let me explain my observation. I sent my GMAT score to KF from GMAC on X day and I received fee waiver on X+1 Day. Though, receipt of GMAT score may or may not be a indicator because my GMAT was not marked received at KF till yesterday. I received a mail from KF only yesterday stating that they have received my GMAT score.

As far as I know, nobody has asked for a fee waiver and IMHO one shouldn't as well. If they think you deserve one (on basis of whatever criteria they have, :?: ) they themselves will approach you. If not, consider your application fee a small investment in your future. :)

I agree. But a dollar saved is money for the future, right? :D

Having said that, they have a question in the personal information tab which asks "Do you qualify for an application fee waiver?" If you say YES, one of the reasons you can indicate is "GMAT Waiver". Not sure exactly what it is, but does this mean they have an official policy to give waivers based on GMAT and they haven't mentioned it anywhere?

Also, I was trying to upload my resume but it is just not happening. I was able to upload transcripts though. Not sure if anyone else faced this.

Once you mentioned, I checked it and found that for me it has been selected as 'GMAT Waiver'. But I don't remember selecting that before submitting my application. If there is no guideline for fee waiver on the basis of GMAT score, such as what is minimum score required for availing waiver, I don't think we can make that choice ourselves. I would get it clarified with the help of AdCom if I were in your shoe.

I also emailed KF asking for a waiver on the basis of my GMAT score a several weeks back. They sent me an email the next day saying that the waiver had been added to my account.

I then also received the automated Fee Waiver email last week from Sherry Wallace.

Maybe now I have two fee waivers and will be getting paid $150 for my application?? :banana
