I just realized that if you submit an intro video on Youtube, you can actually check your viewers and where are they from. Right now I have views only from Russia as I showed this video to some friends and relatives. This means that school did not yet review my application at all.

That's a pretty interesting insight :-D

Lol, yeah. I have been checking this everyday since 10th Oct. So far, I have viewers from India, US, Jordan, Vietnam and Malaysia. :-D

I don't think these were admission committee members. (US ones could be though. :o )

Haha. One of the views would be from me. After I submitted my application I checked all the introduction videos on YouTube. Earlier, I decided to write the essay because I shot a video for another school but that was 3 mins long and too stressful.

I think if you provided a LinkedIn profile link you could also check who has seen your profile. However adcoms could have the premium accounts that don't show their info.

Let me guess, the school with 3 min video is Rice? They later on changed the video to optional but I already made my video...

Just received an email from McCombs with the interview invite. Haven't dug deeper into the available options but will try my best to interview in person in Austin.

EDIT: FYI, my status with GIAC still shows as incomplete, though the program has had my scores since 2013 (which GIAC has since purged from its records).

Just got mine as well! Currently live in Denver. Would local alumni a better choice than Skype?

Congratulations to all the people who got the invite. Although it seems that no Indian candidate got an invite till now. Maybe the adcom are first giving invites to US candidates. Any thoughts?

Yes ur observation seems to be pretty much on target : almost all of the invitees are US applicants.
Also, i guess most of them were early applicant like last week of September or first week of oct ..so probably their application were reviewed first ..

But we (international applicant) can hope for the news in coming week ..looks like new year is going to bring good news
