Anyone from R2 hear back yet?

Posted from my mobile device

I haven't. I applied a few days before the R2 deadline. I think it's pretty much over.

Yeah, at this point I'm either getting dinged or maybe waitlisted. Although I haven't seen many updates on Stern anywhere whereas other schools are getting way more updates. So either people applying to Stern are not on here (or anywhere else) or (fingers crossed) Stern hasn't sent many responses yet.

lol, that was my exact reaction. There's another R3 invite for a 770 GMAT. I give up! I'll consider myself rejected and then I can just move on. They must be scooping up all high GMAT scores.

honestly that's pretty unreal. the guy applied on 1/12 and got a two day notification... and people here have been waiting two months. I am pretty sure we are the last dings/waitlists/interviews

Oh yeah, you're right! I read it as December 1st first. Jan 12th is unbelievable. Can't think of another school that play their bets as they do. Anyways, best of luck with the rest of your apps!

hey fellas, R1 applicant here. I've been saying this the entire time. stern doing some shady stuff. They treat their applicants like this, guess how many from the waitlists that you accept will matriculate? their yield numbers only prove their games are working AGAINST them

Yeah it's really weird that they're playing games like this. I heard back from Anderson within a week.. and I haven't heard back in two months from Stern

Hey Stern admits--how long did it take for you to hear back after your interviews?

And it's so unnecessary. If you want to compare everybody against everybody, just have one deadline mid-December or something and then look through all the apps in one go. Then there would be less stress for the applicants and they could cherrypick to their satisfaction.

I think a lot of schools do it right by releasing most of the interview invites in batches. So there's no real questions whether you will get an invite or not. Like there's a small part of me that still thinks I could get a Stern invite...

The deadline of R2's initial notification is Feb 1 isn't it? It's still possible to receive an interview invite from NYU. All the best.

R3 applicant who got an invite here!

They're not being shady. They just have a ton of events for different groups, and some of the invitations come with an option to interview on the days of the events. It's for scheduling reasons, nothing else. So (my theory is) if Redheads of Business and Former Astronauts Association have a set day of events for interviewees on X date and Y date, respectively, they want to go through the redheads and former astronaut applicants soon enough that IF they decide to invite them, it's not too late for them to schedule to attend those events. That's it. Tin foil hats away, please.

They will get to everyone. It may not be on the timeline you want, but if you didn't get a rejection notice, you're not rejected, and you have to just repeat that over and over until the waiting anxiety starts to believe it. :( I know it's hard.
