I had my interview yesterday. I was interviewed by a second year student. She had similar profile as mine. This made me comfortable as I could use some technical jargon while answering.

Overall it was a very friendly interaction. She asked me typical questions - why MBA, why Rice, Leadership example, career goals etc.

Hey, Guys!

I had submitted my application on 29th Sept and got the interview invite on 25th Oct. Scheduled it for 11th Nov since I am busy with other college applications at the moment.

Profile:
GRE : 314 (Q- 157, V-157, AWA - 4/6)
Degree: BE in CS
GPA : 3.8
Current work function : Website Designer for a Hospitality Giant
Targeted work function: Brand Management

I feel extremely lucky to have got an invite especially looking at my GRE score and work experience. So stay positive and articulate your story and goals clearly in your essays.

Best of luck to all!

I have heard that Rice is matching your profile with the interviewer's(usually a second year student). So if you are working in the energy sector, your interviewer is likely to have a background in the same sector. So prepare accordingly for interviews. Good luck.

Just completed my interview by a 2nd year Indian Student. Her profile was completely different from mine. Below were the questions:
1. Tell me about your work experience.
2. Since I am off work she asked how I am utilizing my time at the moment.
3. Why MBA?
4. Why Marketing?
6. What do you hope to gain from business school?
7. Why Jones?
8. How will you contribute to Jones?
9. What are your thoughts on teamwork?
10. Have you received any negative feedback and how you handled it?

I had opted for a phone interview and it was very casual and conversational. She was quite friendly and answered my questions in detail. The whole process lasted for about an hour.

I did my interview. Here are my questions:

Tell me about yourself (i.e. introduce yourself)
    Why MBA
    Why Rice
Give me an example of leadership
Give me an example of conflict
Why did you choose your career field?

Good luck!

Looks like the interview invites are still rolling out and they're almost interviewing every person. Any more interview experiences if one can share.

Thanks in advance!

I think a lot of people applied this time. Esp. in India, they waived off application fee for anyone who attended MBA tours or their infosessions. And I also feel that they interviewed almost anyone who applied.

Guessing yours in the post on clearadmit.

Any other details you'd be willing to share?

Months of WE at matriculation?

Target post career industry?

I'll have been working almost exactly 5 years. I interviewed on September 26th, trying to go into consulting or technology management. I have a background in tech and live in Washington State right now. Yay!

That's great, congrats! I didn't know they were releasing interview invitations before the deadline (15th Dec), so that's good to know! Could you tell us until when you were given to accept the offer and pay your deposit? Also, did you get any scholarships given?

Something like January 18th to pay deposit. And yeah I got a pretty good scholarship, like 75% I think.

Congrats! That's great news. What's your background, if I may ask?
