I did too :) What's everyone's background may I ask?

Now that R1 has submitted, I'm interested to know what everyone put as their award/achievement? I couldn't really think of any at work where formally recognized achievement on a piece of paper or medal is close to nonexistent. I put one down from undergrad but I was at school a long time ago :P

What I really don't understand is why apart of the resume, which by definition contains successes and description of positions/activities all business schools would still ask you to fill the information separately in open-ended questions fields. In my case, I feel I didn't answer the open-ended questions of Stanford the way I should have, simply because it was the first application I worked on and I only later came with better ideas in other applications. Assuming all my signifcant successes are on the resume, picking the one that I see most important provides a lot of information to the adcom regarding my conception of things.

Especially in Stanford, I believe each little tiny piece of the application counts. I wish they could have focus more on essays, resume, and testing scores which usually cover most of the questions but I doubt this is the case

Submitted in Round 1! Dual degree applicant from Harvard Kennedy School (first-year MPP student). Worried about my GRE score of 319 (160Q 159V) overshadowing application - founded a social enterprise in home country, work experience in consulting and at the UN, graduated last year with 3.7 GPA from top-20 private uni.

Good luck to us all folks!!!

Hahaha same. Don't like how they spread invites over a month though. That's way too much waiting.

How's everyone holding up? From the email, it looks like the only communication we should get is an interview invite until Nov 14.

I'm researching other schools with November/December deadlines. I'm hoping for the best, but the chances are so small. Seeing from afar the disappointments on the HBS thread, its quite sobering knowing that most people will not get in.

So much anxiety.

They do *seem* to go out in sporadic batches vs some every single day (at least in previous years), but they also definitely DO go out until the absolute last day in their stated range, as I have had client who had given up hope and then received an interview on the very last day (and were ultimately admitted).

From GSB email:

16 October through 14 November 2017: Interview Invitations
During this period, we will extend interview invitations daily via email. Interviews are by invitation only, and an interview is required for admission. We hope to interview roughly 1,000 applicants this application year.

If you are invited to interview, you will receive an invitation between 16 October and 14 November. We will send Round 1 interview invitations once each weekday at 10:30 am Pacific Time (so no need to refresh your email all day).

1st time applicant.
Just went though the waiting game for 2 schools' interview invitation so far. Based on the anxiety I experienced during the week, I'm sure I'l be having loads of fun during the 1 months GSB sends out invites.
