The waiting is going to drive you nuts. I got an email last year friday before the monday deadline (R3) saying that I was admitted. I couldn't go to school then, so re applied in in EA/R1, but never got any notification untill it appeared on my profile online. I received some scholarship both times. So it entirely depends on the interviewer, how busy they are etc. Some people may hear back and some may not. So don't lose hope until you hear news officially. It will be nerve wrecking, but hold on!

Exactly.

As in international student, it is always tough.
It's not just the US. I had a hard time finding an internship in Canada too, when I moved here as an international student.
Now, MBA is way more expensive and demanding and given the current H1B scenario, it is not going to get any easier. Don't we all search the school to the last detail? So, why do we miss those glaring probability, which is practically stacked against international students?
For those, citizens of the USA, it is not that bad - I assume.

That is not to discredit the points brought up by the author of the original post, regarding talent retention or such. And those issues certainly raise a red flag.
And I totally agree, just because one got a scholarship, doesn't mean it is a school to attend. Career, location and then cost - my personal filters, in that order.

I got a call in morning from my interviewer regarding my acceptance, but she didn't mention about any scholarships. Does UNC provide scholarships in Round 3?

Thanks

Yes. Especially as their yield rate is quite low lots of merit fellowships open up.

Dedicated of them to call the international students outside their work hours! Has anyone in the US received calls/emails yet?

My interviewer called me on Saturday to let me know I got in. He said that I'll receive an official email on Monday morning.

In! Got a call at 9 from my interviewer (Nicole Furnace).

Didn't mention any aid and I forgot to ask. Do interviewers who call usually mention aid %? Waiting for the email to know anyway.

Congrats to those who have got in and best of luck to those who are awaiting the decision!

Got an acceptance call Sunday.

Everyone from past rounds talks about going on the portal to see their official decision and aid offers. Is this just the original application portal? I don't see anything on there.

Yes I'm answering my own question. Yes it is the normal application portal.

BUT has anyone from R3 heard any scholarship info? Where would that be? I don't see anything in the portal, never received an email, and person who called me didn't mention. Does that mean no money by default? Or does that come some other way?
