Any fellow interview invitees want to practice interview together via Skype or something? Lol

What a great idea! Get to know who you're competing with. Valuable insights and who knows? potential content for you to speak during your actual interview.
And it could possibly sound well to the Adcom if you do take the initiative.

Does anybody know if interviews invites are still expected? They did say they will try to send out invites within 8 weeks from the deadline.

I think it would be a good idea to check the Decision Tracker here on GMATClub.

Round 1 applicants - Is anyone still waiting waiting for their interview invites? When is it appropriate to reach out to the school for status update?

Yes I'm also still waiting. Kind of thinking we're probably dinged or best-case waitlisted at this point.

I'm thinking it would be alright to inquire.
Again, I hope you're checking the Decision Tracker constantly to see if anybody new has got an Invite.

What is going on with Yale now. I heard they released some rejections last year around this time. I did not know this. I have not gotten an interview, but my portal still says application under review. We shall see, but I have lost hope at this point.

Sorry to hear that. It seems a number of schools have change their patterns and strategies this year related to the decision release. I wonder if Yale also modified The process of releasing interview invitations.

PS. Keep the hope alive but plan to have options.

Yes! That is what it seems like. I am still in the run as my portal does not show a rejection. I think given my “low” GRE score they are waiting until the end. The schools are interviewing people and seeing who can be accepted or who can’t and then moving along the list. We shall. Thanks for the kind words. This confirms that although I have a strong background, the test scores are playing a big role in their decisions.
