Hi:
Here is my info. I am applying Columbia and Stern 2017 regular admission.
-Undergraduate GPA 3.17 in Accounting in a city college.
-Graduate GPA 3.5 in Accounting in a city college.
-Licensed Certified Public Accountant.
-Less than 1 year (9 months) experiences in IRS. I had leadership experiences and led about 10-15 people (not on regular basis; more likely 2 days in a week).
-2 years experiences in PwC, doing tax for real estate industry investment fund and trust. I had leadership experiences and led about 10 associates. Also had special experiences because of a dual practice program. This experience connects me directly to the management partner or director.
-GMAT 710 (did 4 years ago. I used this for accounting graduate school application).
-Extensive volunteer experiences - helped low income people report tax for over 3 years.
-Active member in a professional club - helped students with interview, resume, career decision in accounting and tax profession.
-Currently salary is 75,000 and will highly likely be promoted next year before MBA start (if enrolled).

These are very competitive schools so you would need to distinguish yourself with strong accomplishments, highlight unique contributions you can bring, and show fit with the schools.
It would greatly help to show how you will leverage your experiences and the MBA towards your career goals.

I am an Indian Female with 6.5+ years of work-ex across Operations, Retail Sales, Consumer Sales in Oil & Gas Marketing in Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. I am a BE (2010) pass-out from a renowned State level University and had an overall CGPA of 8.21/10.00. I am keen to pursue MBA from US (Kellogg - 1 year, Emory, others), Singapore (NTU). Amongst Indian colleges I am looking at ISB, & IIM Bangalore. I am especially keen on 1 year MBA programs. I have given some brief details below.
GMAT : 690 (6/6/50/34)
6.5+ years of work-ex across 3 departments in Oil & Gas Marketing (Indian Oil PSU)
2 University Gold medals for best all round female graduate & best female graduate in all faculties
DAAD WISE German scholarship holder & Tata paid summer internship holder.
B.E. CGPA - 8.21/10.00 from a renowned State level University
Please let me know what are my chances at some top colleges I have just recently written the GMAT, so right now I may not get so much time to prepare and reappear for GMAT as I got to prepare the applications.....
Any leads shall be very very helpful regarding selection of colleges and applications....thanks,
