As long as you dont get an explicit reject mail, you are in with a chance. I was not called last year, did not even got an email saying that I was admitted. It was just an automated portal update mail and I was awarded 50k scholarship as well. So, stay calm and enjoy the nervous wait guys...it is worth it :-)

Oh ok....So I guess I should till 20th March to get an official result. Though a phone call bud have been nice :P .... don't know what to expect from here on.

Just saw a missed call from MSB while I stepped away that "they have some very good news to share with me" and to keep an eye out on an email later this afternoon. :-D

Since he didn't explicitly say to call back I won't, but I may get antsy in the afternoon.

Status on the portal is stilled "submitted".

cant infer anything. It is so random that you dont believe it until you see it yourself. So, just wait. There is no particular pattern in the way they call. Some interviewers do and some dont. It is spring break in the school as well. So, an portal update would be the one for many of you. keep the holes alive and wait for them to say something. Dont make conclusions with the info you get here. Even when interviewed by the same person, he/she can call one applicant and let the other one wait until it is updated in the portal. So all the best :-)

Hey Ashley was not my interviewer...I was interviewed by an Alum based in Delhi...She just happend to call me up with the news of the admit!!

Are people being called by their interviewers? I am trying to think of a pattern as to how people are getting called. Also, I would have expected more people to have gotten admitted. Do you think they'll call throughout the weekend? Is it time to give up hope? So many questions.

It sounds like it. But I was interviewed by a current student on campus so slightly confused?... But yeah nothings been updated on CA Livewire since 1ish regarding someone getting a call. I'm thinking they are maybe done for the day. But I guess you never know!

I was interviewed by an alum off campus, and he told me that I would be advised via the portal after our interview. He said I may hear before the date, but he was clear that it would happen via the portal. Maybe some people get called because their interviewers call them while others do not? Maybe that is the difference? Maybe I am engaging in magical thinking but anything to keep the hope alive. :)

I was not called by my interviewer. Both were from the AdCom, but I was interviewed by Iolani and also another person (that I dont remember at all) called me to say the good news.

I received my admit call around 11:06 am EST. Interview invite went out on the 14th and interviewed over Skype on the 16th. I am in Arizona and my last name is very near the end of the alphabet, so I wouldn't put much credence into the idea that the calls are going out on the basis of names. If I've learned anything from this process it's not to read into things too much. Georgetown was my first application, and It was virtually silent from them for three months before my interview invite.

I'm hoping for some sort of scholarship now, but good luck to everybody else!

lol. Totally agree. As I started reading it I thought that the person who called me had made a mistake. They should go the UCLA route and simply send an email saying "decision now available" and leave it at that.

Hello,

As many people have caught on, the decisions have been posted on the online portal. However, my admission letter ( in the portal) does not contain any scholarship info. Does that mean I have not received any or is the scholarship decision supposed to come later? I know at least one other school which sent the scholarship information separately so am keeping fingers crossed, however, after reading some of the above comments it seems like I might not have gotten any if its not mentioned in the letter in the portal.

R2 applicant here. I wasn't interviewed so I was expecting a rejection letter. I was surprised to know that I have been wait listed. What does this mean? Anyone with a similar experience from R1 or previous years, could you please explain? Thanks
