I think the % of admitted applicants that reject BU is probably very high.... I heard there are alot of people that get off waitlists post deposit deadlines of other universities

About 38% of the accepted candidates joined BU last year, so there's definitely a chance.
Also in round 1 about 15% got rejected, so yeah, they don't reject much in the earlier rounds, only after the 3rd round.

I just looked at R1 stats again: 93 ADMITS, 22 DINGS, 51 WAITLISTED, 8 DEFERRED. That's really high admission rate, 93/174 = 53% admit rate in R1! I'm sure the rate for R2 is lower unfortunately.
Also.. in my Wl email they mentioned decision to be made no later than July 2016. However, deposit deadline for R3 also is April 29... so I think R2 WL candidates can hear something by May hopefully...
Isn't it all too strange that we don't see any admits in R2? My mind makes me think that something else is going on.. Maybe they needed more time to evaluate the applications but could not just complete it by 4th of March.. is anyone aware of a similar scenario from some other school in the past ? As I can understand they still need to fill in almost 50% of the seats.. Are they relying on R3? Or are all admits in R2 not part of the gmatclub?

Not true... R2 has seen admits on GMAT club. around 14-15 students who are on this forum have reported admits on 26th Feb...and this is just gmat club members. I am sure more people have gotten admits.
