Abhimirage, don't worry, you're not the only one. Several people including me also haven't got any update so I guess it will be coming in the next days. Hopefully tomorrow! ;)

Looks like 680, Indian, IT, Male are 4 dreaded words if one wants to do an MBA from a good college (Forget about top 30). My last bet was on Boston and seems they aren't impressed too. The only option is retake now and apply for next year. No wonder average scores for Indians are so high. Time for another year of grind. Sigh!!

That thought kind of resonates in my mind too.

I am going through similar thoughts and the very idea of taking up GMAT again gives me jitters. I am extremely worried, If I am even in a position now to get the same current score, let alone score more.

But here's wishing you, me and all those with the dreaded 680 Indian IT Male background all the best for the next year in case nothing good happens this year.

Vijay

souvilibra, I'm also a male with 680 albeit not Indian and not IT and still waiting for decision too haha. BTW you got Q49 V32 and still got a total score of 680? You're quite lucky I guess because I got Q49 V34 and 680 too. GMAC really has a very unclear scoring system.

Yes man, I've seen many with 49 and 32 with a total of 680. Not from the much celebrated Indian IT gang makes your life easier buddy! Anyways, what's the point? We are still without an admit :D Wish you luck buddy!

Even I'm slightly confused by this. I've Q49 V35 and my score's 710.

Anyways, I'm waiting on a decision as well. Indian, male but not IT, but I've only 3 years of WE, low gpa and just turned 23, so not optimistic.

deadraizer, nice, at least you passed the 700 barrier. The scoring system is apparently really strange and nobody really understand it. I started a thread yesterday about it: total-score-for-q49-v34-213896.html#p1652048

3 years WE is not that bad. Good luck!

Not bad but still well below average. Plus my GPA, and I also did not waive my right to access recommendation (didn't know it could have a negative effect). Just too many red flags for selection I guess.

And thanks, good luck to you too :)

haha which average are you talking about? BU average is only 682 so you're definitely above average. We'll see....

I was talking about my work ex, the average at BU is 5.

Let's just hope they're not done with offers. Round 1 had less than 200 applicants, while they typically have over 1k applicants. So maybe we can expect 2 waves of admit offers.

Oops my bad :p

Yes I believe that can't be it. They also mentioned that round 2 is their main round where most people applied.

It's all based on various factors... a low work ex doesn't negate your application. I am Indian male (non IT- banker & entrepreneur) with 710 gmat and over 6 years of experience. Still waiting for an admit... so who can say?! :| . Also I asked a friend in Boston to call up Questrom and ask regarding the admit roll out. The person there informed that thought this week they will be sending notifications in batches since the volume for this round is huge. Don't kw if he meant it genuinely or just said it but let's wait and watch :P
