According to the article I posted for R1 yes. I also did video essay.
Hmmm.. I just hope written essay doesn't go against me during decision ... Although the admission counsellor had told me before applying that both versions are weighed equally. Hoping for the best...
will it pose good to call and ask ? i dont think so..... wont it be negative on our part ?
Go ahead, drop them a mail! Let them know your intentions. It shouldn't go against you. Show them that you are really interested and would prefer BU. I would have definitely dropped them a mail.

I submitted the written essay too... not heard back from BU even for a invite yet......

I submitted a written essay as well. Done with my interview. Don't think either (video/written) has an advantage over the other one.
I got done with my interview too... I guess mind plays various scenarios 10 days before decision date . I guess the choice of essay presentation isn't really an issue.
So for those freaking out about video essays I had technical difficulties and had my camera shut off each time I tried to record my video essays. So once I got it back on had no time to prepare and honestly bombed 2/3 video questions( I blanked on one). Still got an admit with scholarship
The article from Poet's n quants page was really insightful. Although they do no prefer one over other, its natural that they would feel more comfortable if they see candidate talk about impromptu questions through video essay. It not only gives them an idea of applicant's personality but more importantly his communication skills. Going by last year's thread, we can expect to start hearing from Monday. Good luck to all!
I also received the call/voicemail and admission this afternoon. In with good scholarship as well =)
I gave my Skype Interview last week so the turnaround was fast, the questions were just about on par with what the others have mentions. One that was different was asking what is your plan B or C paths.
Congrats to all Questrom (Boston University) admits!! Here is admission summary of R1 and R2 GMAT Club applicants. Those who have received their decisions, please update your forum profile status so as to reflect the same in data tables below.
For R1 also i saw on this forum that all admits were rolled out on a single day (Friday)... So don't know what to expect! But will keep hoping till 4th March
