Such a helpful class! Both instructors were very knowledgeable, and had great insight and tips that helped me dramatically improve my score! I thought having the ability to discuss problems and issues I was having with the group of students was a great way to work through the struggles and improve! Each class focused really well on set topics, while also leaving time to go over specific issues anyone was having, and the instructors did a great job making everyone feel comfortable enough to share and speak up. WH=hat was most helpful was when we went over test strategies. Afterwards, I immediately saw an improvement in my scores and approach! Overall, a great experience, and I highly recommend!

Amazing -- I could not recommend this place more. Stephanie Moyerman was incredibly and I fully credit her with getting me to an awesome score. Stephanie was incredibly attentive and knew how to pace the class so that no one was left behind or getting bored / feeling like they weren't be challenged. We had a wide range of skill levels in our class, but everyone felt like they get the attention and "challenge" that they needed. Even though it was a "Live Online" class, Stephanie made herself available outside of the classroom to answer any questions / provide a morale boost. Thanks to Stephanie and MP, I received a full ride to my dream school!

Course Manhattan Prep MGMAT Self-Study Toolkit

Manhattan is one of the best Quant resources to practice with. The self study basics kit had the tricky questions of the GMAT pinned down. Learning the question patterns helped me recognize question traps on the GMAT. Very good practice resource especially for those aiming to score 700+.

The verbal review of Manhattan was also above average. However, it may not be as detailed as the math sections.

I recommend the Manhattan self prep for those targeting Gmat scores above 700. Also, the self study tool is helpful in tracking progress and mistakes throughout the review process. If you are an independent and disciplined individual, self study prep would be perfect for you! It is cheaper, but just as effective.

Good luck!

Manhattan Prep GMAT w/ Stacey Koprince

A little about me: I'm an American male aerospace engineer living in the southern US. I received a decent GRE score (Q168/V158) ~710 GMAT equivalent I used for entry to my master's program at UCLA. I found GMAT material to be slightly tougher than GRE material, and needed all the help I could get in the midst of this supposed 'GMAT arms race' amongst the top schools. I have recently been accepted to one top-15 school and one top-10 school despite some crummy grades I had in undergrad because I lacked maturity (and still do!) The GMAT was doubly important and ended up proving to be a much-needed bright spot on my application.

I recently received a 730 (Q49V41) GMAT score after a 6-month journey. I owe some of this success to Stacey Koprince and the Manhattan GMAT live online course, which gave me an excellent introduction to some of the key principles that are paramount for successfully handling the GMAT.

I enjoy structure in my life and usually work harder when there's human interaction and accountability involved in some way. I used Manhattan live online for my GRE prep, and found it to be great. I thumbed through some reviews and found some very positive stuff about Stacey Koprince, and enrolled in her live online section.

Since time is finite, studying efficiently for the GMAT was important. I feel the direction MGMAT offered was essential, with weekly homework assignments on key problems in their excellent guide books. When I first started with the verbal section, I usually had no strategy and ran out of time and couldn't find any rhyme or reason to why the right answers were the right answers. Stacey changed this. Stacey is a seasoned veteran who had a talent for explaining in the simplest language possible what was happening in the verbal section with respect to sentence correction and choosing the best answer for the RC/CR. If I was hung up on some caveat with sentence correction like parallelisms, she intuitively knew how I was thinking about the problem and was able to explain it and shift my focus to the 'correct' way of approaching the problem.
On the quant side, Whitney (the co-instructor of the course) offered some good tips and timing strategies that I ended up using to get my 730. The course and the practice tests were good at exposing where I was most weak in the quant sections, so I could focus my study time to those areas.
A couple of areas that weren't as strong in the course and experience were the MGMAT practice tests, and difficulty of the questions presented during the class sessions.
The MGMAT practice tests were good for practicing timing on the quant, but the truth is nothing can mimic the elegance and inherent trickiness that real retired GMAT questions have. Thankfully the course provides the OG, which is the best place to practice for the quant. Top schools require top quant scores, so heavy exposure to algebra-intensive problems is important, and during class sessions the pace can sometimes be a little slow- so I would just dive into the OG and start doing stuff until the class moved on. In defense of the course, they've got a lot of cats to herd.

Lastly, I want to say that I enjoyed my experience and the social interaction with Stacey, Whitney, and the other students in the course. I found myself looking forward to my Monday night GMAT course. The GMAT can be a long and painful journey, but Stacey encouraged me to not take it all too seriously and that persistence is what was important. Having the expert guidance and interaction with the MGMAT crew definitely put some wind in my sails:)

This was my first time taking an online course, and it was great. I liked how organized everything was, from the syllabus to the lesson plans to the homework. The take home work was thorough yet doable. My instructor Liz was patient and student-centered, yet made sure to keep us on schedule. They offered many different strategies so that students could pick and choose in order to find which one works best for them. They also provided many other resources for tons of practice. I never would’ve gotten such a great score if it weren’t for Manhattan Prep and Liz. Thank you!

The pros of this service were the Interact courses which were very engaging and the practice GMAT exams that were very accurate in predicting my actual GMAT score. The major con was the course instruction itself would often times lose momentum due to getting bogged down on a particular student's question or lack of participation and we would not always finish the topics. I also felt that once the course ended, I was left to my own devices. I decided to use another course instruction after Manhattan prep and found that I had more success with the alternate service. Looking back, this service was very expensive and I saw better results with a less expensive service. I just didn't see the return that I was hoping for.

Manhattan Prep Helped me get my Goal Score!

I decided to sign up for a GMAT prep course after speaking with a few friends who tried studying on their own and did not get the score they wanted after two attempts. After taking a course, they beat their desired score on the first try. I picked Manhattan Prep after doing a trial online class. I was concerned about doing it online because I thought it would be easy to zone out, but the instructors make it very collaborative and engaging. My starting score (before the class) was 580 and my goal was 680-700. After a lot of work, I got it up to 640. After the course I had a post-class consultation where they reviewed my stats. This really helped me tune in to my verbal skills when I thought that math was really my weakness. When I finally took the test, I ended up with a 730! The course completely set me up for success.

With the help of my instructor Sage Pearce-Higgins and the 12 week online course, I was able to elevate my score to a level appropriate for any top tier program. Originally I was concerned that it would be difficult to make any gains from my 700, but the course content helped me master areas where I didn't realize I was weak. My time spent studying was more effective and led to quick clear results. You'll have to commit time to keep up with the course work and practice problems, but it will be worth it in the end when you see concrete gains in your score.

these books are great starting tool for GMAT. Although these lack enough practice material, the online content makes for up for it. The material is presented in a comprehensible and cohesive manner, with enough focus on what needs to be practiced, excluding extra useless content. These books combined with official material make for a great combination for GMAT. The books come with free access to 6 practice tests and quizzes for each topic. The online tools also include OG guide book which tells the answers to official guide questions and helps selects question as per difficulty order. Also, MGMAT blogs are a great place to learn tips and tricks from experienced professionals.

The best replica of real gmat after gmat prep. Best part is quant which is a little bit more difficult but trains you for the worst. If you are planning to by any test series then go for the manhattan one. These guys also allow you to reset the exams so that you can give it again. I shared it with my friend as we were giving n different time periods. First i used it then my friend. Verbal is more or less same as present in the official guide or in test. I gave gmat twice and got q50 and q47 respectively. And i got it by preparing only with manhattan nothing else. The solutions provided by them are very very informative and one can have take aways with every questions.
