Manhattan GMAT is truly best in class. The professors are organized, intelligent, and engaging. They provide great materials, but also help you to tailor the course to your appetite and capacity.

I found the quant review to be particularly helpful and that was where I improved most. The materials are thorough and easy to digest. They also provide a great number of practice questions and the professors guide you well to the problems that meet your skill level. Staff is easily accessible and responsive.

I would definitely recommend this class to a friend and have already done so! Manhattan GMAT is great.

I would recommend the Manhattan GMAT course to anyone.

My score went up over 100 points during the class. I actually had the benefit of having a number of professors, since my main teacher, Marcus Hedard couldn't make it to half of the sessions. They were upfront immediately about the situation, telling all of us that we could receive a refund or switch into a different class if we didn't want multiple teachers. They also gave us a free "700 and up online course" pass, which is usually a couple hundred dollars, for our trouble. It turned out to be completely fine, all of the teachers are equally competant and were all excellent teachers.

From what I've heard about competing classes, Manhattan GMAT definitely seems to be the bset.

Course Manhattan Prep MGMAT Self-Study Toolkit

To prepare for my GMAT, I used a variety of prep materials from GMAC, Manhattan Prep and other prep companies. I like the Manhattan GMAT series a lot for its focus on concepts. The explanations have sufficient substance to help learners grasp the concepts behind the questions. Other companies seem to lean towards elimination tricks, which work well for questions up to the 700 level but not beyond.

I have also found that the Manhattan GMAT series does not contain any serious typological mistakes, while than some books by other companies repeatedly contain frustrating typos. This is a small matter that can cause a lot of confusion to learners, especially in a timed testing environment. Manhattan GMAT's attention to detail makes a difference.

I attended two very workshops in Singapore conducted by Robert Wilburn. Those workshops helped me consolidate and further enhance things I had learned by that point.

Manhattan GMAT is the most thorough GMAT preparation course out there.

When you sign up, you receive a dozen books that cover each intricate section of both the math and verbal sections in depth. The homework can be overwhelming at times, but if you find a schedule and stick to it and get it all done. Be sure to use all the resources they provide you -- office hours, AWA essay tools, online question banks, etc.

I improved over 100 points from my first practice test until the real GMAT and I was thrilled! All thanks to Manhattan GMAT, their homework, and my instructor!

I definitely think this course was worth the money because of the teaching quality and sheer amount of resources that are provided to students.

They give you a mountain of books and expect you to review a lot of content each week, but I never felt overwhelmed. The in-person classes were the best option for me because it made me stick to a formal study plan versus preparing on my own. The recently added "video explanations" on the website were extremely helpful as well.

Overall, I would definitely recommend Manhattan GMAT to anyone who is serious about putting in some significant time and effort and seeing results.

Manhattan GMAT is incredibly thorough and covers everything you'll need to improve your score on the GMAT. I took it once and exceeded my original goal score by 20 points. The books are well written and the classes are well taught and incredibly well structured.

I opted to take a prep course because I wanted the structure to study every day and know how to get the most out of my study time. There were activities for every single day of the nine-week course. You have to commit.

I recommend this course to anyone who is willing to put in the time and who really wants to do well.

Improvement 90 Points

Some background info about me and the GMAT- I took the GMAT 2 years ago using the Kaplan self study program and got a 610. After deciding to retake the exam, I decided to switch up my prep materials.

MGMAT is a great prep company - the instructors are very helpful, the customer service team is friendly, and MGMAT gives great instruction on how to target weaknesses. If you are really looking to improve, this is an investment that will definitely pay off.

I decided to go with the online course because I felt it provided the perfect amount of structure that I needed to succeed. I decided to go with MGMAT because I was told by a friend that they were the best, he was right.

All in all I couldn’t have been happier with my experience. I felt that MGMAT truly cared about how well I did even after I paid them.

I took the GMAT twice; the first time I got a 680 (my target was a 700+). After I missed my target score, MGMAT offered a free 45min consultation one-on-one with an instructor to debrief my exam and outline a plan to help me reach my goal during my next exam. MGMAT recommends taking the exam twice, but I decided I only wanted to take it once if I could get my target score. Turns out MGMAT was right, I needed to take the exam twice. On my 2nd attempt I hit my target of a 700! I don’t think I could have done it without MGMAT!!

I thought MGMAT did an excellent job providing all the tools that it takes to do well on the GMAT. From day 1, my instructor Kate stressed that "relearning" the fundamentals of both verbal and quant would be largely up to students during the week in between class meetings. This means doing ALL of your homework from the materials that MGMAT provides and doing ALL of the practice problems. This is not easy, but absolutely essential to being up to speed for weekly meetings.

During class, we reviewed several types of questions and talked through various strategies for solving each of them. I felt this was the biggest value add of MGMAT- the strategy portion for each different type of question- both verbal and quant. Once you are armed with a systematic approach to every question, all you have to do is practice, practice, practice. Reviewing strategy greatly reduced anxiety on test day, because I had a "game plan" for each type of problem.

Overall, excellent structure and I would highly recommend.

Self-reported Score:
740 Q48 V50

I took the class a year ago with Ron Purewal. He is an amazing instructor, drilling down the essential "don'ts" for the GMAT. I had issues with timing, and it was essential that I dont brood over every question and focus on getting everything right. Ron along with the practice tests made me really take a step back and set my approach right.

The course keeps you on track with the self-study and homework sessions. The material is great as well. I actually took the test a year after going for the course so I had to come back to my class notes and the material. I gained ~140 point from when I took my first test before I started and ultimately got a score of 740.

I would highly recommend this course and Ron as an instructor.

The Manhattan GMAT 9-session course kept me accountable for studying and provided me a study plan to get the 99th percentile score I was shooting for.

My instructor, Abby, did a phenomenal job laying out the foundations of both verbal and quant, and emphasizing the importance of mastering the skills that you need to crack the GMAT.

I was very impressed with Abby's ability to cater to the specific needs of my small class- I think this really helped us focus collectively on what we needed to work on. Similarly, I thought she did a great job explaining all of the concepts in a clear way, and giving us usable frameworks to attack all of the hardest problems.

I was also quite pleased with the online MGMAT system, which included a way to track individual progress on different types of problems. I think this is a program that will help anyone improve their Nicole significantly if they are willing to put in the time and effort required to complete the assigned work.
