Got into somewhere else? Good luck with other choices!

Not really mate. Hoping to get into Sauder of Schulich. I am not able to see myself being a part of McGill, somehow doesn't fit. So going by my feeling, I've dropped it.

I hope you get into both of them mate. Toronto and Vancouver are both great cities. I live in Toronto and had the opportunity to spend 4 months in Vancouver for an internship term, you will find both to be friendly and rewarding.

One piece of thought I'd share, Toronto has way more career opportunities, and I think for an MBA (or any degree nowadays), it matters a lot. Good luck in your journey.

Finally, my second recommendation has been submitted and my application is now complete :) Two questions:

1) Once the checklist is complete, is there any further step in the process that I need to do? The general process is to fill the basic details and enter the two recommenders --> Submit app and pay fees --> Complete checklist --> anything else?
2) How much time does McGill take to process the app to invite an applicant for an interview?

Not really, you just wait. They are very quick, probably takes them a week before calling you for interview and then maybe another week and a half to two weeks before they tell you their decisions.

Same here. Telephonic 2nd interview, by Exec Director of career services!
But to be honest, it was mentioned during the first that there may be a second required in some cases.
Perhaps the career services wants to confirm the feasibility of a candidate being able to meet the goals post MBA!

Hello everyone,

I got offer letter from McGill with the deadline to accept the offer by Dec 15, 2015. Following is my profile info,

WE : 4.5 years IT product development (Dell R&D, India)
Intl WE for a while at the US.
Age - 26/ GMAT - 700

Following is the timeline

31-Oct - Submitted application
16-Nov - Interviewed by Adcom member
27-Nov - Got acceptance intimation

Thanks mate! Congratulations to you as well! I applied to a couple of top tier business schools in US but got dinged. Desautels was the only business school in Canada that I applied to.

Hi Everyone,

It's been really quiet in here for a while. How are things coming along?

I was interviewed early last week. It was a very pleasant half an hour interview. Pretty standard questions such as Why MBA, Why McGill, Why now, Why Canada, Career goals in detail, what do you do in your leisure time, and few personal questions were asked.

During the interview, she tried to tell me all the positives of Montreal compared to Toronto and why I will fall in love with Montreal and never leave the city :)

In the end, she said I will hear pretty soon from them about the final verdict before their holidays. I hope everything's going to be positive in the coming week :)

..and yesterday came the good news! Admitted with a decent scholarship :banana

I'd like to learn more about Prodigy Finance. Should I write to them prior to accepting the offer so that I can understand where my funds will be coming from? What are the other options of funding other than Prodigy Finance for Indian students?

Fantastic matey, congratulations! :) Prodigy Finance is conducting a few sessions here in India, please check them out and attend them.
I've registered myself for the session here at Bangalore on 27th of December.
I think with McGill some Canadian banks might be extending their line of credits, please check them out. :)

Hello All,

I want to know how are people choosing between Rotman and McGill. I have got Admit from both. Even though I am inclined towards Rotman, but one thing is keeping me from taking a straight out Decision. And that is ::

Employment Statistics after 3 months of graduation -->

1. Rotman = 70% of the students Employed after 3 months of Graduation.
2. McGill = 89% of the students Employed after 3 months of Graduation.

Given the class size of Rotman (350), almost 100 students did not receive a job offer after 3 months of graduation.

I would really appreciate any insight on the same. Please let me know.
