Hello,
I got the good news back in December!
I now looking into financing.
I was denied the scholarship and I'm afraid I will probably have to borrow almost 100%
I'm also looking into other grants/scholarships but the news aren't good.
As a foreign applicant has anyone experience in this field?
Have you borrowed money for students loan in which organisation?
Some local banks accept only eligible citizens (which I am not obviously).
I'm getting a bit nervous here, and information is quite difficult to find.
Thank you!!
Hi.
I am international too. But luckily I got a line of credit (on my house) approved already, so won't be drawing upon other loans.
When you say 100%, does it mean 100% of tuition fees or total COA (tuition + living)? Because, if you are talking about COA, it is a huge problem.
Most internationals are (in most cases) eligible to borrow only up to 80% and even less in some cases - depending on creditworthiness - as perceived by the lender.
It also raises concerns, why would you need 100% when you are choosing one of the costliest degrees? This question can come to haunt you during your VISA interview.
And finally, every dollar that you borrow, you will be paying back with interest - trust me that at times mean paying back $2 for every dollar you borrow.
I went a bit far on tengent.
To answer your question,
Prodigy seems a better option. But a lots of time they won't allow you to borrow another loan from any other lender and they mostly lend 80% of COA. Check that out.
