Finally got the time to write up my interviewing experience. I interviewed on the 3rd Feb. Received invite on 15 Jan. Submitted on 4 Jan.
The interview was very conversational and the interviewer is very friendly. I felt super relaxed and thought the interview was a lot of fun! (The not so fun part is the fact that I had to interview at 3.30AM my time). The interview lasted exactly 30 minutes and I had additional time to do some Q&A. I wish I could do more but it was already 4AM ish and I really wanted to sleep. Now all is left is the dreading wait of the results
... I really want to go to Anderson.
The questions were typical: tell me about yourself, MBA Goals/Why MBA, individual contributions to team/class, managing teams, why Anderson, what do you do in your spare time, and questions for the alum.
Overall, if you have prepared well for your interview you should do fine. Know your achievements and know your goals! There is also a slightly cranked up version of 'is there anything else you want to tell us?' at the end of the interview that I forgot the actual wording.
I think what the interviewer is generally looking for is culture fit with Anderson so it would be a great idea to reach out to alums and understand what it is like to be there. One alum told me that during his time at the MBA, which he took 4 years ago, the criteria was whether the candidate would be someone the interviewer would want to hangout/grab something to eat with. I am not sure if this is still the case.
I am open with doing mocks if anyone is interested!
