I'm from India and have my interview scheduled on 8th Feb. Can someone who is done with the interview share the experience here please?

Have UCLA been slow in sending out interview invites this year? Or are less people reporting here?
When you compare it to last year, there were significantly more invites sent out by Feb 1st week last year.

Finally got the time to write up my interviewing experience. I interviewed on the 3rd Feb. Received invite on 15 Jan. Submitted on 4 Jan.

The interview was very conversational and the interviewer is very friendly. I felt super relaxed and thought the interview was a lot of fun! (The not so fun part is the fact that I had to interview at 3.30AM my time). The interview lasted exactly 30 minutes and I had additional time to do some Q&A. I wish I could do more but it was already 4AM ish and I really wanted to sleep. Now all is left is the dreading wait of the results :(... I really want to go to Anderson.

The questions were typical: tell me about yourself, MBA Goals/Why MBA, individual contributions to team/class, managing teams, why Anderson, what do you do in your spare time, and questions for the alum.

Overall, if you have prepared well for your interview you should do fine. Know your achievements and know your goals! There is also a slightly cranked up version of 'is there anything else you want to tell us?' at the end of the interview that I forgot the actual wording.

I think what the interviewer is generally looking for is culture fit with Anderson so it would be a great idea to reach out to alums and understand what it is like to be there. One alum told me that during his time at the MBA, which he took 4 years ago, the criteria was whether the candidate would be someone the interviewer would want to hangout/grab something to eat with. I am not sure if this is still the case.

I am open with doing mocks if anyone is interested!

I see a lot of anxious guys out here so just a quick info update:
1. I am an Indian R1 applicant and had got the interview invite quite late in the cycle. It seems they release it in chunks. So do not lose hope.
2. After you receive the invite, you do indeed have to send the hard copy of your original degree and transcript. Since in India (don't know about other countries) you only get one copy of your original degree, Anderson folks will send back the original degree to you after they examine it.
3. The interview process is quite chilled out and has the usual why MBA, why now questions. The fun part is that a current student takes that interview.
4. Decisions were told around a day BEFORE notification day via a phone call (even to internationals), so keep your fingers crossed :D
5. A lot of guys I know received scholarships in R1, so there is a good chance the kind generosity continues in R2 :)
6. My experience with the Anderson team, current students and admits till now has been amazingly awesome. They really are people with whom you would want to go to school.

Hope it helps. Good Luck!

My recent interview went great. Was going to type up a summary, but Mimster summed it up perfectly.

One tidbit I learned, I was told that from the day that your package is complete (interview done, transcripts received, etc), your admissions decision will come in 3-4 weeks, either a phone call for accepted, or the long wait until the deadline for the ding.

Good luck everyone!

I know admissions always say on-campus vs. skype/off interview makes no difference. But, I was originally on the waitlist and received an invite, so I'm worried by not visiting campus, I'm not showing my interest enough. Any advice?

Seems as though most non-local candidates opt for Skype- I met quite a few at admit weekend. However, if you think you interview better in person, it might make sense to go in person instead, which is what I did.

Thanks! I think I'll be fine on skype. They only gave a two week window and I'm finding it impossible to leave work on short notice, thought I'd love to see the campus.

Was surprised after looking at your GMAT. But then I saw "China" there. We get punished for being from the most populated countries in the world.
