did anyone receive a phone call but no e-mail?
I may be able to shed some light on this as a former Kenan-Flagler adcom who made some of these calls and sent some of the emails. Kenan-Flagler has reached out to admitted students in the past a few days ahead of the release-
but as you can imagine-- there are many calls to be made in many time zones-- by a staff that is also busy travelling and reading the next round of applications and hosting events for prospective students-- etc-- so it can happen sometimes that a person runs out of time to make a call in the time zone before it is 3 am.... while people do want to hear and may not sleep-- the school is trying not to call you in the middle of the night.... but if they had a meeting or were busy on other calls-
they might not get to it in time before results go live... same for emails.... because these are not form emails-- they are personal connections from the interviewer-- so it could be that some just did not get the info before release and at that point the thunder is kinda over... so perhaps that is part of this-- and also it could be that for a deny it is just on the site-- but try not to read too much into the unofficial calls-- they are meant to be a gesture of support-- but given the tight turnarounds sometimes it could be that it is not uniform-- I am no longer involved so I really don't know for sure what happened this year-- but just from my past know that the intention is to be helpful and reach out to congratulate folks. I always really enjoyed making those calls! Not many times in your life you can really feel like Santa-- it also makes the caller feel good when the person is very excited to get the news- as it is a great opportunity to attend UNC and I have seen many lives transformed for the better from the experience. I wish you all great news today-- and all great success in your MBA journey and careers--wherever those lead....

I'm assuming if we haven't received a scholarship email, we probably didn't get one?

I checked this afternoon, the three admits had shown scholarships besides they decision. On the website they say the fellowship decisions are sent along with admit decision.
But I am also in the same boat and starting to lose hope on that front.

UNC is one of the expensive school among its peers and a bit of a help would have certainly be appreciated.

Hi, Just observed a pattern for Indian folks based on the feedback here.
People with GMAT 750 or above have reported admits, those with 730 have been waitlisted and those with less than 730 have been denied. Seems like GMAT has been the deciding factor for Indian candidates. Thoughts?

This seems to be the case. So much for a "holistic review of profile".
I too am in the waitlisted boat. What to expect, any clue, anyone??

Oh. Ok. Congratulations! My observation was based on the pattern here. Can you share your profile please? Are you from an engineering background?

By far UNC has the highest waitlist admit rate so don't lose hope!
