I had my interview yesterday with a second-year student !

Questions :
- walk me through your resume
- why MBA
- why darden and charlottesville
- how do you manage conflicts
- what makes you special and unique
- what are your hobbies

Good luck for those who are still waiting and preparing their interviews!
Do not hesitate to ask questions

Cheers

Alex

Contrats and thanks for sharing but one question I thought that the resume was not needed in the Darden interview, It states so in the website.

Thanks!

You are right, it is a "blind interview", which means that your interviewer doesn't know your resume and your application.
He/she will ask necessarily to introduce yourself and describe your work experience(s), studies,... your resume basically

Good luck!

Hi all,

I also read somewhere that there can also be a version of the interview where candidates are asked to tell their life story (for 30 minutes). Just that one key question, with follow-up questions along the way.

Any idea about this?

That was the format of my interview and most, if not all Darden interviews. In my opinion, "walk me through resume" is an opportunity to begin your pitch.

FROM Darden Admissions Blog: From Idea to Startup in a Year: Rhoback
Darden is the No. 3 ranked program for entrepreneurship (Financial Times 2016) and Charlottesville is a fast-growing hub for venture capital and innovation, so it’s no surprise that many prospective students have dreams of launching their own ventures. But what does launching a venture at Darden really look like? In the below video, learn about Rhoback, a new men’s activewear company started by Darden students.

The founders of Rhoback didn’t wait until graduation from the Darden School of Business to start their company. Instead, they used the assets of the School and the i.Lab at UVA Incubator program to launch their “Under Armour meets Vineyard Vines” line of high-end active wear right away.

Interviewed on 2017/02/14 on campus with a second year student.
Very friendly atmosphere.
Same questions as Alex75.

I can't affirm if it went well. Fingers crossed.
Now we have to wait for a very long time, the letter from Dean Beardsley mention 21 March as the decision deadline.
