Wow - it looks like UVA was very tough this year, as usual. Does anybody know what's the most important part of your application for UVA? How much do GMAT scores matter?

Not specific to Darden, GMAT scores matter only to a certain extent! If you have an outstanding profile then maybe a low score wouldn't be a hindrance. On the flip side, if you have an average/poor profile then maybe even a high score can't get you to a good college. This is a very generic question!

I did write a thank you email to my interviewer. I think writing a thank you note is generally good practice after any interview or one-on-one chat. My interviewer replied and seemed appreciative that I reached out to her after, but I wouldn’t read too much into it; it’s just the decent thing to do.

I read somewhere that reply to your thank you note is indicative of how you did in the interviews. Sent a thank you note, got no replies. Ah! I guess a ding is on my way. :(

Come to think of it, I have never written a thank you note post any interview. Isn't that taken is buttering someone up to sway their decision?

I think that all such things are unnecessary; no one will deny you an admission just because you didn't write a thank you note. If you were good during the interview and you let your personality shine then irrespective of anything, you will have a good chance of making through!

All the best, everyone! The wait till 16 October is indeed long -- 16 more days to go. Fingers crossed!

Yes. I wish the result was sooner.

For me, I'd rather that time stood still for some time.

My interview went for almost 45 mins and the interviewer talked nearly 15-20 mins out of those 45. Should I be worried that I should have talked more or do we have a few more people who have had a similar experience?

I don't know but it could wither good or bad. It all depends on how the interviewer perceived the fact that you spoke little. Or maybe you made quite an impression in the time you were speaking. Let's wait and watch.

In the meanwhile, all the very best.

Does anyone know if Darden typically sticks to its notification dates? Or do they sometimes start giving offers before the decision date? October 17th can’t get here quickly enough!

As we are all really enthusiastic about Darden, we will all hopefully meet next year in class. Therefore, please pray for me. I need all the prayers I can get to ace the GMAT.

I submitted my application to EA, but could not book a date as the slots were full. Is there anybody else who could not schedule an interview and has got an invite?
