I was accepted to Wharton without scholarship.

What’s the best way to ask this - via email? Should I call? Does that matter?

Any advice on how to try to negotiate would be much appreciated!

We just had an internal discussion about this ...

Yes, it makes sense to try and see if you could get money from Wharton if you get in.

However, we do not recommend doing this right away, as it will come off negatively (ungrateful, aggressive, etc). We recommend trying to do a few other things in the coming weeks to show your interest in Wharton and then approach them about a week after the new year. It's a fine line between asking too soon and coming off badly, but waiting too long and then funds may run out. But personally I don't think you need to worry too much about that since Round 2 isn't done yet and clearly they would be planning out needing funds for R2 accepters.

Hope that helps!

Question for anyone who might have some insight. I was accepted to Haas with a 2/3 tuition scholarship.

If I’m fortunate enough to get into Wharton next week, and don’t get a scholarship, can I tell them I’ve received one at another program to see if they’d match? If so, when would be an appropriate time to bring this up?

Thanks! This may end up not being an issue but I want to be prepared just in case.

Interested to hear someone chime in on this issue also. Maybe one of the admissions consultants? I personally wouldn't ask until you have the official letter in hand not just the acceptance call, and would give it a few days to let things calm down before broaching the subject.

Hi.

In the application, it asks how many times you have taken the GMAT and is also asking for individual scores (overall and category wise) during all GMAT exams. Does this include cancelled scores too?

Given they can’t tell how many cancelled scores you have, I would be inclined to say they are asking for official recorded attempts.

Quick question regarding submitting below average test scores and updating these test scores after applying, specific to Wharton but also other MBA Programs as well. What's the best way to go about this and is it even possible?

I think you can address it in your optional essays, and indicate you are planning to retake the gmat, and maybe send them a quick email. Maybe then they will put your application closer to the back of the application, so that they won't form any opinions. I would try and have your updated GMAT in as soon as possible because the closer to the interview invites dates, the more likely they would have already started bucketing students, and you don't want to already be bucketed as a reject before then.

We were required to self report ALL GMAT scores? I only submitted my highest (but was accurate on how many times I submitted the test)

should I send my official report so they can see my full score history or is it fine if I only self-reported my highest score?

Was that close to the number of times you took the test?

If you report multiple attempts but only one score. They either think you cancelled the rest or you’re only reporting one score.

I don’t remember them explicitly saying you must report every single accepted score.

Does anyone else?
