Hi everyone! I was fortunate enough to be accepted into 3 amazing programs at Haas, Booth and Kellogg. I received a full tuition fellowship through The Consortium at Haas, and $40k / year (>50%) from Booth through their Kilts center for marketing. I didn't receive any $ from Kellogg, but thus far have really enjoyed their culture.
A little about myself - I grew up in the Chicago area and work for a big biotech company, AbbVie, in financial planning and analysis. I've spent the last 3 years in the SF Bay area at a subsidiary and overall now have 7 years of experience. I'm pursuing an MBA with the goal of a career pivot and am specifically interested in marketing analytics. From an industry standpoint, I'm interested in either remaining in healthcare or transitioning to tech. I've spent my entire career at a huge company and am interested in experiencing something smaller, possibly more of a start up. I either want to end up back in Chicago or California post-MBA.
Berkeley obviously has a great connection to tech and Silicon Valley, but I am worried about class size / alumni base being too small. The Consortium would also be a huge plus. I do see Booth as a more prestigious option and am intrigued by the analytical focus of the program, as well as the offer I received to be a part of their marketing fellowship. I really liked Kellogg culturally as I mentioned, but seems unlikely with no scholarship compared to the other 2. Kellogg is also very strong in marketing.
Does anyone know if any of these 3 is stronger than the others in market / data analytics specifically? Booth & Kellogg have a pathway / concentration for it. VC / PE is another area of interest of mine, so I'm curious if one of the programs would be best if I go that route?
Other important factors for me are strong career services and partner programs. I'll be coming to school with my wife. From everything I've seen, all 3 appear to really embrace partners, possibly with Kellogg and Haas standing out a bit more.
Lastly, I do plan on trying to leverage the Haas scholarship in negotiating for more funding from Booth / Kellogg.
Appreciate any advice / thoughts for how to best evaluate this decision. Thanks in advance!
