Hello all,

I'm an Indian applicant and I applied to Mendoza in r2. I got an invite to Interview very late - on Feb 25th. I submitted my interview preferences via the online scheduler. But I am waiting to hear from the admissions committee on my interview date. However, on the app portal my application status changed to decision rendered. And I got an email from Kristin telling me that they are unable to offer me a place in the program this year. I really do not know what to make of it. I have written to Angela Wesley and Kristin. But , I was very hopeful and was looking forward to the interview. Did anyone in r1 go through a similar situation'? Please let me know what I should do now. I guess I will have to wait till Monday to call them.

Hey Vidhya,

oh, boy! That sounds rather unfortunate! Nothing you can do other than writing to them for clarification, and you have done it. Just keep your fingers crossed.

Thanks,
Prodizy

Me too. But the chances of making it are very less IMHO.

Anuj I was WL in R1 ( I had an interview) and just got an admit on Friday. Pretty excited about although it didn't say anything regarding financial aid, but I'm assuming I didn't receive any :(. I'm about 90% sure I'm going to accept although I'll lose my deposit I put down at another school. I'm currently serving in the Peace Corps in Uganda so there wasn't much on my end I could do to improve my chances due to my geographic location and living conditions. I emailed my interviewer and admissions to reassure them that I'm still interested and to keep me on the wait list....and just waited. So thankful and happy I got in.

I'm gold and blue through and through...going to go watch Rudy now. Go Irish!

Screw the wait list form. I'm just furious that I spent an awful amount of time for this application.

On that note, right now I am less angry and will fill up with the wait list form , but I am wondering how they are wait listing so many with 730+ scores and good WE , when I know for sure that in R1 , there were many admits with generous schols in 700-730 range ( I am talking abt Indian /male /admits from IT technical background and know for sure that many of them have even declined the offer )

jnljinson, If ND is where you want to be don't give up. You could do what I did and put a deposit down on you're second choice school and wait. I think especially in the case of Notre Dame, they're not just looking for a high GMAT. There's other metrics they use in determining who they want to be a part of their program that aren't necessarily academic based.

My GMAT is only 670, but I think what differentiates me should be my uniqueness in background and good working experiences. As it is the case in marketing, try to deliver what the school needs and looks for in candidates. Dont worry my friend, at least you have several admits from other schools. Keep believing and working hard

Now I am waiting for the financial aid information. Expect to receive generous scholarship.

Congrats pscherer, welcome to the class!

jnljinson I would echo what pscherer said. If Notre Dame is where you really want to go then you can't give up. I know how you feel as I was declined 5 times from the undergrad I wanted to go to before I was accepted on my 6th and final attempt. Notre Dame is not a purely statistical school. Personality, class composition, diversity of experience, and many other things come in to play. As a side note I know for a fact that they watch this board and I am sure they can understand the disappointment in being waitlisted, but try to stay relaxed and keep moving. Think about it like football, if the QB is getting pressured and stops moving his feet then it is all over. So keep moving those feet and keep striving to get where you want to go.

My application status page says "APPLICATION SUBMITTED - NOT YET COMPLETE (YOUR APPLICATION IS CURRENTLY BEING ORGANIZED AND REVIEWED BY THE ADMISSIONS COMMITTEE)". I had applied around Feb 9.

When I mailed them, this was their reply:

Thank you for asking. Until your application is compiled and prepared for the Committee it will read "incomplete". Sorry for the confusion. Should any materials be missing when we put yours together I will let you know immediately. We will also let you know once your application is complete and being presented to the Admissions Committee.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Any idea when will my application actually be presented infront of the admission committee??

Same position as you are in Mr. LoneTRaveller. Atleast you were lucky to get a reply. I also submitted my application earlier this month and have not heard from them since.

Cheers and Best of luck!

TOEFL: you can request ETS to send the score. If not, a screen copy is still OK

Official transcript: No, they just need the scanned version for admission.
