Hi all,

I'm a waitlist convert from R1 at UM Ross. Got my admit call yesterday with R2 decisions. Happy to help with any queries regarding getting off the waitlist. Sharing my 2 cents below:

1. Ross adcom asks for an updated GMAT score. If you think you can score 20-30 points above your last score, go for it. (I did not retake the GMAT as I was satisfied with my score).
2. If you have worked with any Ross alumni or current students in the past, I would suggest connecting with them for a recommendation email to the adcom. I did one with a current student and it was helpful.
3. Ross has many student ambassadors. Connect with some of them from your area of interest and seek personal guidance on the admissions process. Also, they are very friendly and can guide you with anything related to admissions, academic curriculum, placements, etc.
4. Besides the student ambassadors, keep in touch with the adcom. If you have interacted with any adcom member in the past, it would be great to connect with them regarding personal as well as professional updates in your profile. Let the adcom know that you are still interested to be a part of Ross community and what steps you have taken to improve your candidature.

Let me know if I can be of any help in any way. Cheers and all the best!

I received a call from adcom yesterday to gauge my interest. Has anyone else received a call?

Hello,

I received an e-mail asking to fill a form to confirm my interest, not a call.

Best,

I received a call a couple days ago. They asked if I had any updates to the waitlist survey I submitted and asked if I would be able to make a decision about attending Ross within 48 hours if I were to be accepted. I said that I would be able to do so. I got a call today from the Admissions Office saying I have been admitted to the program! :)

Did anybody get a call from Ross Adcom today to confirm interest? I'm assuming that's a good sign, but I'm not sure if that's common practice for Ross or not.

Waitlisted in R3. What can I do to bolster my application? Or is it just a waiting game now? The adcom committee did not ask for any supplemental info except for updated GMAT/GRE scores if applicable.
