Identification Documents for GMAT Online

Question

I have my GMAT Online next week, can someone lease confirm if an Indian test taker authenticate his identity via government issues proofs like AADHAR & PAN cards in light of the new regulations by GMAC for GMAT Online?

Though mba.com says govt. ID should work but I have not seen anyone provide Aadhar as proof.

Passport is a mandatory document for Indians for taking GMAT.

GRE online as well. Have to have a passport for Indian citizens

Here you can see the updated guidelines I just wanted someone's confirmation specifically for Aadhar or Pan card issued in India. These documents have photo and dob and signature(only in pan) and Gmac guys haven't provided me this confirmation. GMAT has never accepted AADHAR cards. Unless they specifically call it out, I would not assume that those are appropriate. I will get an official confirmation from GMAT support before you try to take a test with that thing...

Note that document requirements differ based on your citizenship. For example if you go to the test center in the United States in Texas, as a US citizen you can use a drivers license but even if you have a Texas drivers license that worked for the other guy, as an Indian citizen, you have to bring your passport. It is very odd.

Non-expired passport is always the safest mean of ID proof, even in your home country.

Just an update for Indian Test takers of GMAT online; I was able to successfully give the GMAT Online exam with a pan card( Permanent Account Number)

The GMAT team had assured me that any national ID card is acceptable as long as it meets their specified criteria (Ss in the post)
