Looks like there isn't a whatsapp group for admitted people so I'm creating one. Admitted people please PM me your number.

Well I guess we just have to wait and see what their decision will be. Has anyone contacted someone from the school?

For the Indian students who got in, what is your take on the Job opportunities and visa sponsorship issues?

I am one of the wait listed candidates at Carlson. However, I would like to comment and say that the job opportunities and VISA sponsorship would almost be same at all the schools in the league of Carlson. If some of the companies aren't sponsoring at Carlson, they won't sponsor a candidate at say Georgetown too. So, for internationals it is anyway going to be a tough battle. In the meanwhile, I am trying to understand the drop Carlson registered this year (-17 points) in its Financial Times ranking (https://poetsandquants.com/2017/01/29/in ... ranking/3/)

As far as I know the school is pretty strong in terms of placing the students and attracting high scorers on the GMAT (two of the major factors that decide ranking)

"Not so" wild guess. Because of the Wells Fargo Scandal and the resignation.

Does Carlson provide non-cosigner loans to international students?

No Jamie. You can apply for a loan to Prodigy Finance.

Thanks for sharing.

But i heard Prodigy Finance only offers a limited amount as loan. Even though they claim to cover upto 80% of the cost of attendance, in reality, they only offer around $25-35k for schools like Carlson (ranked in the 20s).

Or am i wrong? Please let me know if anyone knows better

JamieCecil They evaluate you on a case-by-case basis. I have seen many of my friends securing loan amount as high as 70-75% for the schools in the range 20-30 per U.S. News. So, putting up your case to Prodigy will only help in giving you some idea. If you don't like the deal, you can say "No" to it.
