Does anyone have reliable data that indicates your chance of admission to McCombs if you've made it to the Interview stage? Or approximate number of R1 applicants VS number of R1 invites they actually send out? Would be curious to know if anyone has insight.. question is under assumption that the interview goes well of course

Just had my interview with a local alumni. Overall, it is very casual and conversational. She did not get a chance to review my resume even though I sent it to her in advance. So there was not a lot of questions about my resume.

1. Why my current position
2. Why Mccombs
3. Why MBA
4. Why now
5. Career goals
6. What other programs are you applying

How many of us are still waiting (& HOPING) to hear back from McCombs ?
Does anyone have any idea about whether McCombs provide a feedback for dings ?

Hey Guys,

Do we need to submit any proof to avail TOEFL waiver for McCombs? I am an Indian and did my UG from a college where English was the medium of instruction.

Kindly advise. :-)

You just have to mention that your undergraduate was from English Medium university. You are done. :)

Don't know when will the invites be out. I see many of us are waiting and though its already very late, I hope we all get the invite soon.

I wrote such wonderful essays and from the very beginning I was confident that I will get an invite. Though I am nervous now, but still can't allow the thought of getting a ding..

Hope everything goes well.. Good luck everyone.

I definitely felt the same for some schools that I did not get invited to, actually, I haven't gotten invites from any of the schools that I deemed to be my best essays. So, I think it just goes to show that it is very difficult to predict what will happen.

Does anyone know if there is a way to check if your interviewer has submitted her feedback yet? Will there be any notifications?

Interviewed yesterday with an Admission Committee member. It was very conversational and overall a pleasant experience. The interviewer was familiar with my resume but had not seen the other parts of my application. Some of the questions were similar to the ones listed my others here but mostly revolved around why I wanted to do an MBA and how I will look to contribute while at McCombs. Good luck to everyone yet to interview and those still waiting for an invite!

Cool, thanks for sharing your experience! Did you do any of the optional class/campus activities as well, or just the interview?

Unfortunately, my schedule in November was packed with work related travel so I couldn't visit Austin and interview there. I interviewed at one of the Hub locations.

Thanks for the feedback!I also have an interview coming up with an admissions officer.Although the website says all interviews are blind,I am not so sure if that is the case with an adcom member too. Did he/she clearly state that he had not gone through any other aspect of your file?..Just a little curious about this!

Texas MBA official blog states that interviewer only has access to the resume, and there no clarficiations for any specific types of interview (alumni/adcom). and it really makes sense for the process to be the same across all types of interviews and interviewers.

Does anybody have an idea of what % of people get invited to the interview? out of all applicants? Decision tracker shows 16/60 but it doesn't make sense, because admission rate is roughly 25%. so interview invitation rate has to be less than that.
