I wish whatever you said comes true. But I want to point out that Adcoms will always say the same line to everyone. No one knows what is there behind the scenes.

Mine has been watched just once two days after I completed the interview. And since then nothing. Don't know if that's a good sign or not.

Actually most schools have several different people review your application so it was probably the different ad coms that were your reviewers....I don't think it has anything to do with whether or not they liked it.

Lol, I just pray and hope the good news pops up into my inbox. I think we still have some time, but we may have to discount thanksgiving vacations from it. and, McCombs was my top choice too!

Did you receive any mail from the adcom about in-person interview cancellation at Bangalore? I got a mail this morning regarding the same with the option of Skype interview? Any idea?

Uh, I haven't got any such mail from them. My last mail was my interview confirmation with the time, name of the interviewer etc. That seems pretty strange, maybe its just that time-slot that isn't available?

Okay ...so today I checked the analytics of my video on the youtube ...and found 2 (total 7 now) new views from Texas ..the last two were on 14th Nov.

And then earlier last night, I received a mail from McCombs with a subject saying "You're Invited"

Yep, for a second I thought of shouting my guts out in happiness but then read the later part of the subject line "Online MBA Info Session".

I don't know whether these guys are doing such thing intentionally, but this definitely not very pleasant considering the situation many of us are in !!!!

Any ways, with the new views on my video, my hopes are back. Fingers crossed once again!! :cool: :cool:

I strongly believe that it depends. Yesterday I read an essay from a Duke applicant who wrote 170 words for the second essay which is supposed to be written on two pages. Ofc he did not get an invite. The same case with video. One can shoot a video using a carpet on the wall as a backdrop (i saw one such mccombs video), another person can hire a professional videographer and video editor and shoot a fabulous video.
If you used Veritas prep essay writing services and paid $5k for app preparation and did not get an invite - there is either something wrong with you (low gmat, low/very high WE, age or competition) or your application has not yet been viewed. The second option is less real in the late November.

And the second reason that an applicant does not get an invite - is his poor essay performance.

So nobody knows exactly what was wrong. Everyone assumes that his essay is very good. But AdCom might have another opinion. So really depends. Just patience and hope.

I did a video essay, and I think the advice I've been given by AdCom and students who use a video has been the same: Don't list resume accomplishments! Just show some personality. Talk about fun things you do. Talk about adventures you hope to go on in Austin. Look/sound enthusiastic while remaining authentic.

Yes mine got cancelled too:(..I think its only for candidates on the 5th of December.Are you going to skype or do you think an alum interview is still possible?
