Last year in Livewire:
The number of 1st round invites for MIT Sloan: 159
The number of 1st round invites that went as a part of last wave: 72

This year in Livewire:
The number of 1st round invites that have gone out till now: 38

I don't think the remaining invites are just location preference based.

I wrote to the Adcoms specifically asking if there are chances for Indian candidates since the Indian interview invites seems to be over. They replied back saying that they will again be sending invites on the 2nd of Nov. And from the numbers, I guess a huge wave is yet to come on 2nd.

This is what the AO sent to me, copied here. "Thanks for your note. We will be sending interview invites again on October 26th and November 2nd. You will receive a decision, interview or not, on November 2nd." I am very surprised to see not even single invite from healthcare... During the earlier chat, I remembered someone mentioned the last invites would be those interviewed before, which means re-applicant only??

ISB is my next hope then.
I dont think i will choose Ross over ISB if I get into both :)

I am still a little hopeful about MIT, but being an Indian Candidate with 730 GMAT and 7 years work ex in non-profit education - how much am I justified in having this hope?
also why ISB over ROSS?[/quote]

Hey,
My post mba plan are to settle in India. If i would have made into MIT, i would have worked for few years in the US and then moved back. Ross isn’t that big a brand outside US. ISB saves my year, around 50k usd and yet put me in same league as Ross will in Asia.

Seems like there's still heaps of invites to go. Wishing everyone all the best for the last round of invites next week!

There's virtually nothing online regarding Sloan's pre-interview essay question. Any one have thoughts on how best to tackle it?

Can anyone post when / where potential interview times are for Round 1? I'm planning a work trip soon, and in the slim chance that I get invited this Thursday, I want to make sure it doesn't interfere.

Got a ding. Updated in the portal.
Profile:
GMAT- 730
GPA- 3.6+
Background- Btech+MS(Top 15 school)
WE- 5.5 Yrs(mostly International)

Good luck to shortlisted candidates! The portal says only 350 will get selected from 5,500 applicants (and assuming most of these are very competitive). It will one of the biggest achievement to get a coveted seat!
