I submitted my application on 21st November, and I am yet to hear from the Ad-Com. Should I consider being dinged on there is still some hope?

The anxiousness has now turned into dejection.

As for the interview, I thought it was pretty similar to other schools.

Hey Can you give more details around the kind of questions that were asked? I will be having my interview with them in a few days and any tips/suggestions are welcome.

Hello. I really think those interviews are kind of standard for all MBAs. I've had the opportunity of having 4 or 5 interviews, both in Canada and the USA, and questions are similar. You can google it and you'll find out. It's just about talking about your curriculum in 3-5 minutes, describing why you'd like to got to that school, and telling about professional situations you've gone through, like when you got critical feedback, when you were a leader, etc. You just have to know your story, the school and where you're heading to, and you'll be fine.

Hello everyone, seems like you're all doing well. Just jumping back in after disappearing for a bit.

Anyway, I saw there was a conversation last page about official transcripts, and I wanted to give my own thoughts regarding that. Officially, their answer will always be: no, official transcripts are not required for review. Unofficially, they have no incentive to start reviewing your application without official transcripts.

Why? People lie. Transcripts are easy to fake. Why go through the motions if there's a risk you're faking your transcript? I would say they'd consider your application to be submitted for whichever Round's deadline you submitted it for, but I do not think they'd start looking at you until your official transcript is in. Put yourself in their shoes: would you review an application that's missing a vital component?

For those who have been waiting a long time to get any news from Rotman and feel like they've already been rejected: well, a ding isn't a ding until they tell you. Nothing you can do about it right now but wait, unfortunately. Work on other applications. Repeated email inquiries would not be looked well upon; you're just giving them more opportunity to find fault in you.

For those who don't know me in this thread: I'm a Rotman 2016 grad, just paying back the help I got on these forums when I was in your shoes. As a graduate who's gone through the program and made friends with the admissions team, I might have some insight into how they think.

PS: If you have a question directly for me, please ask it here. I get PMs from a few of you and it's all the same questions, so I may prefer to answer them here for everyone, and I'm sure you won't be the last to ask it. Also, profile reviews are pointless for an MBA program that targets diversity...

Good luck!

Hello! Would anybody have any insights into Lynda Patterson's interviewing style? Would be really helpful to know a bit on what to expect from her! Thanks!

@jigglypuff- thanks for your insight. Do you suggest sending the official transcripts, if one hasn't done it till now? Will that expedite the review process>

I was scheduled to give GMAT on 4th feb 2017, however there was some technical issue at Test centre..resulting in my exam being rescheduled to 14th feb. I am a bit worried as the Official score reporting might not be done by round 3 deadline. Will they consider the unofficial GMAT score uploaded as genuine for purpose of evaluation of profile ?

I had given GMAT once last year and would prefer that my latest official scores are updated in profile.

thuytienvt1706: Deloitte?

krutik123: Of course. Why wouldn't you have sent it yet? It should've been one of the first things you do, considering it takes time.

Urnamaster13: When's the next deadline? If you're aiming for higher than a 660, please understand that 660 isn't considered to be low. If the deadline is before your test date, then I'd let the admissions team know of your circumstance and still submit it, and keeping them updated as to your process with the new score.

Hello everyone!!

I applied on 3rd Jan and haven't received a revert from the adcom.

My recommendations were submitted by 14th Jan which might explain the delay in the adcom's reply.

Has anyone else faced a similar issue?

Yup, submitted on Jan 2nd and still nothing. I am also a local applicant and all my supplemental items were added before I submitted the application. They should also have my official transcripts.

Not looking good for me :(

The round 3 deadline is 27th feb, my exam is on 14th Feb. I am from India, and 660 doesn't look that competitive looking at the decision tracker...anyway my undergrad GPA is not stellar, hence hoping to make it up by a good GMAT score.
Thanks for the tip, I did meet Lynda Patterson at an event..i might e-mail her/adcom and inform about the GMAT date along with submission of my application.

applied 2nd round through gre with 320 score no interview. I guess trump effect resulted in more applications. They also misplaced my transcripts that I sent them.

I don't think Trump effect kicked in before 9th Jan 2017. Though, we should see a tangible impact of it in R3 or next year's intake.

Hi All,

Need some help, I mistakenly started two applications but submitted only one. Will it be possible to delete the second or do I need to contact adcom?

Regards.

I did that too by accident and it was not a problem - just make sure the one you submitted is complete. They won't even look at the other one.
