Hi,
The application asks to submit Scanned passport. Does it mean all the pages or just front page?

Thanks

Why do you want to scan the blank pages or your visa's if you have any! Normally a passport scanned copy should be the front page and the last page.

P.S- It sometimes happens when you get paranoid with the applications. All the best!!

Yeah!! I am getting paranoid here :P.
I just thought adding all the pages was necessary to prove your international work experience.

Thanks for highlighting.. First and last page then :)

Hey everyone! First time applicant here. It seems last year ISB had two decision dates - an early date in Nov first week and then the final date in Dec first week. Any idea if they plan to have early decisions this year too? I'm wary of the early date because the hefty 3 lakh deposit is to be paid within 10 days from date of offer, and I want to be able to see other results before submitting a deposit.
Please share if any of you have insights from adcom!

Hi everyone, I have submitted my evaluator details, but recently we had a change in the organization and I want to change my evaluator's relationship with me from "supervisor" to a "senior colleague". Would this change hamper my application?

Not really- its the content of the recommendation that would be paramount.
Your recommender should project you as a leader, initiator, innovator, creative thinker, problem solver etc. etc. And support what he says with examples. Further, examples should show your actions and results (preferably quantifiable).

Coming back to your original question, between supervisor and a senior colleague, I prefer the former. Its formal and shows a definite relationship between you and your recommender. Senior colleague could be senior by 2 years or 10 years- there's a marked difference between the view they will have of you, from both positions. So, keep teh clarity by calling him a supervisor (and that's also a recommendation criterion)

Everyone...I have a silly but imp question just before I submit the application.

In the official GMAT report, they have listed all the institutes I have asked for. Do I edit the pages/remove that page and send the report or leave it.

Please advise asap!

Thanks a ton :)

Hi,

The ISB application doesn't seem to be asking for my resume. Am I missing something here?

I believe that won't be required. I have not mentioned ISB in the list of institutes and in the application form ISB has asked whether you forwarded your score through GMAT or not. I have uploaded the full document.

Hi guys i am in a dilemma, need some true advice.

I am a Chartered Accountant, female, 6+ years work experience with an Indian PSU bank in Financial Analysis and Investment team, Currently working as a Senior Manager. Got promoted from Manager in September 2016.

Took my GMAT yesterday, scored a 620 (Q47 V28, IR 8). I am not satisfied with my performance, though people suggest, I should give a try. I am confused whether to apply to any schools or not.

My desired schools are ISB, IIMA, IIMB, IIMC, IIML (Executive Programs of IIMS).

Have a decent extra curricular stuff to show as well.

An honest opinion shall be appreciated!!

Best regards

Hi Guys,

I have submitted my application for R1 cycle. However, I haven't asked for GMAC to send the score report to the ISB. I have simply uploaded the score report scanned copy on the ISB's application portal. Would ISB adcom use this copy and I can submit original later when admission decision is rolled out or do I have to ask GMAC for score report now?

Hello Apurva

You have more than a decent work profile. CA is not common amongst the applicants. So you have an edge there.
Being female, you gain another point.
You have a fancy designation (Unlike most of us having different versions of engineers). Plus 1 for that.

However, your GMAT is on the lower side. But how is your past academic? If you have a good academic record, I think you have a fair chance.

You can look into improving your GMAT score if possible (close to 700). (You would be surprised how easy it is to get to 680+ with proper study)

as the deadline is close, I would suggest applying to IIMA, C & L with this score & with a strong application (try to get the best out of your SOP & experience). Study & retake GMAT in Mid Dec & apply to IIMB, ISB & XLRI.

Best of luck. Go for it.

Regards
Alok
