Consultant Harold Simansky
Harold was an outstanding partner throughout my MBA application journey. What I appreciated most was his strategy. Before working with him, I did not fully understand the importance of early admission rounds, test waivers, and how these could create leverage later in the process. Thanks to his guidance, I applied during an early admission period with a test waiver, and that turned out to be a very successful approach.
His advice also directly shaped my scholarship outcome. There was one school I was not originally planning to apply to, but Harold encouraged me to consider it. That decision became especially important because I received a scholarship from that top school, which then helped me negotiate successfully with the school I most wanted to attend. In the end, his strategic guidance helped me get into the school I truly wanted with a stronger financial outcome.
Beyond strategy, Harold was always highly responsive. He was there when I needed him, and that gave me a lot of confidence during a stressful process. His communication style was another major strength. He was consistently positive, encouraging, and motivating, which made a real difference throughout the journey.
He also gave very sharp and practical feedback on my resume. His comments were not superficial. They were critical in helping me strengthen how I presented my experience and achievements.
Overall, what I value most about working with Harold was his thoughtful admissions strategy, especially around early applications, test waivers, and scholarship negotiation. His support made a real difference in my results, and I would strongly recommend him to any MBA applicant.

Consultant Susan McInerny
Susan McInerny surpassed my expectations in all ways and I recommend her without qualification. So as to not bury the lede – I only applied to Wharton's executive MBA program, I was accepted, and I am certain that Susan's prudent guidance meaningfully improved my chances.
I first considered pursuing an executive MBA in early 2025. In the course of my research, I came upon mbaMission. Recalling the many, many hours I invested in applying to law school—and now having a far busier schedule such that I wouldn't have those hours—I was eager to lean on a professional's guidance. Susan answered my questions, was not sales-y, and clearly explained the cost structure and what to expect if I decided to hire her.
Two months later, I hired Susan who, thereafter, consistently outpaced her own self-imposed deadlines in the process. With her guidance, I went from a general notion of wanting to attend business school for career advancement to a finely-honed personal story that would not only show the "best me" in my application but clarified my own aimed-for trajectory.
Being aware of my own idiosyncrasies, I appreciated how she calibrated to my personality and work style. What's more, I dare say Susan became a friend throughout the process.
Looking back, hiring Susan will likely prove to be one of the best investments I've ever made.

Consultant Rachel Beck
Rachel was an exceptional support from the very beginning all the way through the end of my MBA application process. From day one, she put a huge amount of effort into really getting to know me and my story in depth, and this created a strong connection between us, which meant we understood each other immediately and were able to work very effectively right from the start.
Rachel is an outstanding professional who supports you at every stage of the process, making sure that every single detail is consistent with your story and as impactful as possible. She has an incredible ability to take your ideas for essays and shape them into something clear, compelling, and highly polished. But what truly sets her apart—and what made the biggest difference for me—is her genuine ability to understand who you are and bring out the elements that make you unique in every essay and every piece of your application. She knows how to highlight your strengths and build a coherent, authentic narrative around them.
Beyond being an amazing consultant, Rachel is also a constant source of support and motivation. She pushes you to do your best at all times and helps you bring out the best version of yourself. As she likes to say, she’s the “strict but motivational mom everyone should have”—and that couldn’t be more accurate.
Working with Rachel helped me grow not only as a professional, but also as a person. I can say with complete confidence that without her, I would have never built such a strong application or been admitted to my dream school (one of the M7). She was truly essential to my journey, and I highly recommend her to anyone considering applying to an MBA program.

Consultant Jen Kedrowski
I worked with Jen from MBA Mission on a three-school package very last minute for Round 2 deadlines, and she was exceptional from start to finish. She is incredibly responsive, highly organised, and consistently ahead of schedule.
Her attention to detail and, more importantly, her ability to craft a clear and compelling personal narrative is outstanding. She doesn’t just refine essays, she transforms them.
I was admitted to Oxford, Cambridge, and IESE, all with scholarships, which I genuinely believe would not have happened without her support.
MBA Mission’s platform and resources are also second to none, which made the whole process far more structured and manageable under tight timelines.
If you are considering working with Jen, I would strongly recommend her. There is a clear return on investment, whether that is gaining admission to schools that may have felt out of reach or securing meaningful scholarship funding.
A pleasure to work with and someone I cannot recommend highly enough.

Consultant Debbie Choy
Debbie was an incredible source of support throughout the MBA application process. Before working with her, I had a negative experience with another admissions coach and was feeling discouraged about my application/story. I decided to work with Debbie after reading strong reviews and having a positive intro call. From that first conversation, I could tell she was genuine and dedicated to helping applicant’s put their best self forward.
I purchased the hourly package for application support, and she went above and beyond. She answered all of my questions whether it was brainstorming ideas, selecting which experiences to highlight for different essay prompts, giving detailed essay feedback, and sharing thoughtful insights. She also advised me on a clear throughline for my short/long term career goals.
Debbie is warm, encouraging, and supportive, while keeping it real. She was timely with her feedback and overall amazing to work with. I recommend Debbie to anyone looking for a thoughtful partner throughout the application process, and for those looking to apply to top programs!

Consultant Christine Patel
As someone from a healthcare background, I immediately resonated with Christine during my free consultation and appreciated her willingness to support my applications even though I couldn’t afford a full package. In the limited hours we worked together, she helped me navigate many of the unspoken rules of MBA admissions—something that made a huge difference coming from a field that doesn’t always have the same guidance around full-time MBA programs.
I was fortunate to receive an R1 acceptance to HBS, but Christine’s real impact was helping me see the potential in my story that I hadn’t fully recognized myself. At the time, I was debating whether to apply R1, R2, or even wait another year. Her guidance helped me clarify my narrative and present my experiences in a much stronger and more authentic way.
What stood out most was her generosity. She went above and beyond the time I had booked and offered thoughtful guidance in ways I didn’t expect. I’m incredibly grateful for her insight and encouragement, and I’d highly recommend Christine to anyone—especially those from non-traditional backgrounds—navigating the MBA admissions process.

Consultant Katharine Lewis
Katharine Lewis was instrumental in my MBA application process, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Coming from a traditional background in investment banking and private equity, I initially struggled to differentiate my story, but Katharine pushed me to take thoughtful risks, lean into my genuine passions, and craft a narrative that was both authentic and compelling. Her ability to identify what truly sets a candidate apart is exceptional, and her guidance helped me translate my experiences into a clear, differentiated story that resonated with admissions committees. Beyond her sharp instincts as an advisor, Katharine brings a deep understanding of the process, informed by her time at Harvard Business School, her experience on the Stanford GSB admissions committee, and her service on several higher education boards at prestigious institutions, which gives her a unique perspective on how these schools evaluate candidates. Her feedback was consistently insightful, candid, and highly actionable. I am confident that I would not have achieved the same outcomes, admission to Stanford, Harvard, Wharton, and Columbia, without her support.

Consultant Nisha Trivedi
Strengths:
Nisha is incredibly strategic and thoughtful in how she approaches the MBA application process. She pushed me to go beyond surface-level responses and really clarify my story, which made a huge difference in how I presented myself. Her feedback is direct, actionable, and always grounded in what admissions committees are actually looking for. She’s also very organized and responsive, which made the process feel much less overwhelming.
Would make the product better:
Honestly, not much. If anything, I’d say that being prepared and coming in with initial ideas helps you get even more out of the experience, since she pushes you to think deeply and refine your narrative.
I worked with Nisha as my MBA consultant, and she had a meaningful impact on my application journey. From the start, she brought a clear, strategic approach while still making the process feel personal and reflective. She consistently pushed me to go deeper, helping me move beyond surface-level answers and really articulate my story in a way that felt authentic and compelling.
Her feedback was always thoughtful, direct, and actionable, and she struck the perfect balance between guiding me and letting my own voice come through. She was also incredibly organized and responsive, which made a stressful process feel much more manageable.
I’m really grateful for her support throughout this journey. I was ultimately admitted to Stanford Graduate School of Business, and she played a meaningful role in helping me get there. I would highly recommend her to anyone applying to business school.

Consultant Rachel Beck
When I first began my MBA journey, I knew it was a path I wanted to pursue, but I felt overwhelmed and unsure where to start. Working with Rachel changed that completely. She provided thoughtful guidance across every stage of the process. Initially, many of the schools she encouraged me to apply to felt like reaches since I came from what I believed was a fairly common and unremarkable background. However, with her guidance, I was able to reframe my experiences into a cohesive and differentiated story that reflected my strengths. From essay development to waitlist strategy and even scholarship negotiation, Rachel consistently went above and beyond, always prioritizing my best interests. She was always extremely supportive and responsive during a time that can be very stressful. Thanks to her help, I was admitted to most of the programs I applied to and will be attending my original dream top-choice school.

Consultant Katharine Lewis
Working with Katy was the best decision I made in my MBA journey. She was not just a consultant to me, but also a mentor, a guide, and, over the course of the process, truly a friend.
When I started this journey, as a male consultant based in the Middle East, I knew I came from an overrepresented background and was struggling with what I thought was the hardest part of the application process: understanding what actually made me stand out. I had worked on many different things over the years, cared deeply about a wide range of topics, and honestly felt a bit paralyzed by all the possible angles I could take. I was not sure how to piece together the last 10 years of my life into a story that felt coherent, authentic, and compelling.
That is where Katy was exceptional. More than anyone else I spoke to, she immediately understood my profile, my context, and the questions I needed to answer. What stood out to me from the beginning was not just her experience, but her ability to quickly identify both the strengths in my profile and the areas that would need sharper positioning. She helped me proactively tackle those early on, which gave me confidence that I was approaching the process in the right way.
What Katy does better than anyone is help you make sense of your own story. She has an incredible ability to piece together all the elements of your life — experiences, choices, motivations, values, and ambitions — into a narrative that truly reflects who you are and what you stand for. After reading through pages and pages of brainstorming material and asking me thoughtful, deeply personalized questions, she helped me distill the last decade of my life into a clear and meaningful story. It was not a superficial exercise or a polished admissions version of myself. It genuinely felt like she helped me uncover the thread that had always been there but that I had never been able to articulate on my own.
What made this even more impactful was that she pushed me to think much more deeply about my current and future choices. She did not just help me package a story for applications. She helped me better understand myself, what drives me, and what I wanted next. That level of commitment made the experience feel far more meaningful than a standard consulting engagement. She was deeply invested not just in the output, but in my growth throughout the process.
She also completely demystified the admissions process for me. Coming in, a lot of it felt opaque and intimidating: what mattered, what did not, what schools were really looking for, how to approach recommendations, and how much to worry about details I thought might hurt me. Katy brought clarity to all of that. She made the process feel understandable, structured, and manageable. Instead of adding pressure, she consistently reduced it. She always knew when to zoom out and give me the big picture, and when to go deep on the details that actually mattered.
Her essay strategy was also outstanding. I came into the process worried because I do not naturally see myself as a strong writer. I come from a STEM background, English is not my first language, and I had never gone through the kind of application process that demands such a high level of introspection and personal storytelling. Katy made that feel completely manageable. She directed me to focus on getting the big pieces out first without overthinking them, and then worked with me to refine, structure, and cut strategically. That approach was incredibly empowering. It allowed me to write more freely, without getting stuck, and then shape the material into something clear and compelling. She even reviewed the personal questions and smaller parts of the applications with the same care and seriousness as the main essays.
What I appreciated most was how committed she was to preserving my voice. She showed genuine curiosity about my background and perspective, and consistently encouraged me to lean into that rather than trying to sound like what I imagined MBA applicants were supposed to sound like. She helped me become a stronger storyteller without ever making my essays feel manufactured or generic. For someone who had always doubted his writing, that was incredibly confidence-building.
The entire process with Katy was also remarkably clear and structured. Even though I was managing a very demanding and unpredictable work schedule and only started working with her about three months before the Round 2 deadline, everything felt seamless. She laid out the process in a way that made it manageable, kept me focused on the right priorities, and made sure I was always moving forward. By the end, I had all of my materials ready a week before the submission deadlines, which I honestly would not have thought possible at the start.
What really stood out was how hands-on she was from beginning to end. Katy is with you through every single step. She helps you craft your story, write and edit essays, develop guidance for recommenders, speak with them, prepare for interviews, and check in on you as a person throughout the process. I never felt like I was going through this alone. Despite a 12-hour time difference, she was always there when I needed her. At one point, she even woke up at 5 a.m. her time to review my HBS post-interview reflection. That level of commitment says everything about how invested she is in her clients. Her mock interviews were equally exceptional. They were incredibly helpful and highly representative of the actual experience. I walked into my interviews feeling genuinely prepared because so many of the questions had already come up in our sessions.
Most importantly, Katy is sharp, intuitive, caring, and deeply invested. She makes you feel supported, encouraged, and confident, while also pushing you to think harder and go deeper. She brings out the best in people and is truly committed to their growth.
With Katy’s help, I received interview invites from Harvard, Stanford, and Wharton, and ultimately got into and committed to Stanford GSB, my dream school. None of this would have been possible without her. I would recommend Katy without hesitation to any applicant, and especially to those who feel they come from an overrepresented background or are struggling to find the real story that sets them apart.
