Yeah same. I had my interview before the R1 deadline. While I am glad I did it early, I do not get to see if I passed the initial screening and invited for an interview. December 1st cannot come fast enough.
Indian applicant here. I applied for round 1 for Emory. Has anyone received an interview call yet? Is there any tentative date by which we can expect the calls ? Thanks.

This is what I got last week from Emory !!
Quoting : "" Round 1’s notification date is December 1st so interviews will take place during the month of November.
I too applied right before R1 deadline but haven't received any further communication. Applications status is shown as submitted. I emailed the admission dept and they said that my application is under review.

Without unnecessarily trying to raise red flags here, but how good of an idea is moving to the USA for non-technical course with a baggage of big loan in these times of uncertain immigration laws?
No Idea! May be they were waiting for US elections to get over. Its been too long now

I don't think the elections had an effect on them inviting candidates to interview; a lot of schools have already sent out interviews. Perhaps the decision making this year is a little tougher with a lot of strong candidates that they are taking longer to decide.
Only gmat 730+ applicant invited. This is disheartening. It would be terrible to be not called for interview when top 10 colleges have invited for the same ( I have gmat 710).
