Hi! I live in Mumbai, India and haven't heard back anything about an interview. Do I reach out to Admissions myself or just keep waiting? I'm wondering what the best course of action is.

Hi! I'm from Mumbai too. I went over the Kellogg group from last year and it looks like alum interviews were sent out well into February. So I plan to wait for about 2 weeks more before reaching out to them.

Anyone from Houston received an invite yet? Do Kellogg typically spread out their invites and can we still be hopeful? Pretty worried at this point especially as I don't have a great GMAT. Appreciate any feedback.

Hi, I haven’t received any word from Kellogg as yet. I live in a fairly big city so I’m don’t think an alum match will be an issue... should I be writing to them!?

Hi! Are you based in the US or international? A small number of domestic students do get waivers. What date is the 6 week mark? I

Invites are spread out, they go out right up to the point that the waiver email gets sent and sometimes even after that. Until you have a waiver email don’t worry. (I know better said than done)

Hi,

I signed up for Interview Preference: Off-Campus outside US.

In the application, I chose the city where I live, but then I am not so sure whether Kellogg has alumni in my city. Will the interview invite includes the option to choose the city, or they will strictly choose the city that I chose in the application?

Anyone who interviewed, can you give me some advice?

Hello anliv

Usually they go by the city that you select. In years past they have done “super days” in certain international cities but Im *pretty* sure they don’t do that anymore. That would be the only reason you would get an interview in a different city and it would likely just be the largest city close to you. Most likely if the city you select does not have any alums they will try to schedule a Skype interview with you. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know if it's a good sign if Kellogg emailed you 'we would like to make you aware of an opportunity to complete an optional Financial Need Based Scholarship Application'. Or is this sent to everyone?

This gets sent to everyone eligible for financial aid which is general all US residents.

Hi Friends!

Reading a lot of stress in the messages here about interview invites. Please know that even though it feels really emotional right now, you will be fine. Don’t put your self worth on one interview invite or school. Ultimately we all eventually have to play the hand we’re dealt and what matters a lot more than pedigree is how you end up playing the opportunities that are given to you.

I love Kellogg. It is a great school, but it is literally 2% of your lifetime and it does not on its own determine your fate in life. So please remember that it’s not the school that will make you great and you will be ok if this one doesn’t work out. You will all end up where you’re meant to be in the end.

So take deep breaths, do some yoga, have a Netflix binge, get in some gym time, spend time with friends and family, whatever it takes to try to get some peace, do it. You will be ok. I promise.

Hi! Thank you for your encouraging message in the thread, much needed :)

I’m based in Mumbai. Feb 12th is the 6-week mark. I was wondering if I should write to them and say I’m willing to travel to another city for the interview etc

After the evaluative call they connected me with a current student to talk to. I emailed the student with some thanks/formalities and times available. If they don't respond is it worth talking with the AdCom who set it up if there is someone else I can connect with since I did say I was interested in talking with current students?

I know for some people it is in the midst of the recruiting cycle (among the normal craziness of school) so I don't want to be rude and distract them, cause I'd be the first to agree that all those things are way more important than chatting with me, but I also don't want to seem like I am not putting in sufficient effort on connecting.

I think if the student doesn't respond in a couple of days, then you'll contact AdCom

Also, should we mail or inform anyone about the off-campus interview saying that it's been completed?

I don't think you need to. On the email matching you with an alumni, the Admission Team clearly stated that "You do not need to inform us once the interview is complete. "
