When it has been past three days email the interview adcoms.

Is it mandatory to submit my resume prior to even scheduling the interview ?

Meanwhile my alumnus has said we can Skype instead of me flying out to meet them.

On the one hand, making the trip shows the additional effort but on the other hand I wonder if it being easier for the alum and saving a few hundred dollars in the process is the better option here...

EDIT: I couldn't decide so I just essentially emails them saying in-person works basically forcing myself into a decision haha. Sometimes you just have to make the gut decision and go for it.

I asked for an off-site interview, and now 3 days passed without any reply.
Meanwhile, there isn't any other suitable slot left at the place or via skype...
What should I do...
Do I have to fly farther...?

For waitlisted candidates that is the only thing that you can update. I guess rest of his profile was strong.

I was just wondering is 720 a sub-par score for an Indian applicant at Ross? I'm in two minds about whether I should write it one more time or not just for Ross!

Sorry man. This game is brutal. But I am certain that with a REALLY solid story, a 720 GMAT may be decent!

I was hoping but apparently not. I've a masters in Petroleum Engineering from a very good US University and 4.5 years of work experience in the Oil and Gas industry here. I was thinking 720 should be good at least for an interview but yeah you nailed it. It's a brutal game.

I think it will help you if you improve your score by 20 points atleast. Even if your profile is strong, I think there will be Indian candidates with same profile with stronger GMAT scores. I have a master's degree as well, worked in energy sector for 4 years, and there are considerable number of people like us who are applying to top schools.

Yeah true. I did realize having a masters from a US University and then working over here and applying won't be that unique for an Indian candidate but I just thought with a decent GMAT score (I did consider 720 decent but now doubting it) I would at least be called for an interview. I'll probably give it one more try.

Guys. How are the interviews coming along ? Any outside of normal experiences?

Interviewed with the Alum an hour ago. The interview was pretty straight forward and interactive. The Alum started with introducing himself and talking about his time at Ross. Then he switched over to my experiences and asked me to tell about myself. Then the usual interview: why MBA, what goals, why Ross, a couple of behavioural questions on leadership experience and then questions for him. The interview lasted about 45 minutes. Call it interaction rather than interview. The Aum was very nice and calming. No curve balls thrown my way.

Also just interviewed with an alum and this matches my experience. Only question I wasn't expecting was "what other programs are you looking at?"
