Hey!

Was interviewed by Emily today. I think that interview was neutral and it went on for 40 mins..

Please share experience with Emily of anyone else was interviewed by her.

How long do they usually take to give a decision.

In terms of admission, it does not really matter. I had a skype interview and it worked out pretty well.
However if you can easily attend the personal interview, I would suggest you to go and attend that.
Sometimes you can express yourself in a better way in person.

Hey, I suggest you go for the Skype interview with the AdCom rather than the alumni interview. The AdCom would be more interested in understanding you as a person and your intentions for doing an MBA than an alumni (at least that's what I felt) . I am saying this because I went to Bangalore for the alumni interview and I got dinged. I am not saying I got dinged solely because of the interview (there could be other reasons as well). But I really felt that the alum wasn't quite interested in understanding me as an applicant. Three plain questions and that's all.

I was waitlisted. So, I got an email today asking me to complete some to-do items on ConnectCarolina and to fill a financial certificate form for the I-20. Is this the case with everyone who's waitlisted? BTW I don't have any credentials to create a ConnectCarolina account.

imsande - even I have received a mail to fill up the I-20 certificate/financial support form. Not sure why does the school need that, even when one is not yet admitted to the program.

Hi, I interviewed with Amanda Harding last week. There was an issue with Skype that prevent us from adding a new Skype friend so we had to do the interview via phone instead. It lasted 1 hour instead of 30 minutes. Finger crossed for round 2 news :)

Hi all,

I haven't checked the forum lately. My name is Vijay, an Indian Applicant. I submitted the application on Nov 30th, Got Interview invite on Dec 1st. I had my skype interview on 13th Dec with Amanta Harding. She is such a nice personality. Interview lasted around 75 minutes. Fingers crossed!!

When we book the skype/phone interview slot, are the timings mentioned in ET or the local time zone?

Its EST. Will be mentioned in the interview confirmation email once you book a slot.
