There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
Did your recommender receive an email from Blair Mannix today? Sounded like a generic note (saying thanks for the rec etc.), but random.

In Round 1, this was determined to more or less be a form letter, as people compared the language and it was usually exactly the same. I wouldn't read too much into it.
Best of luck with your Wharton app. Let me know if you have any questions. What other schools are you waiting to hear from?
Any correlation between people who received the email and people who received interview invites?

I do not believe there is any correlation with the thank you emails and interviews. From what I have seen/heard. I don’t know if my recommenders got the email and never bothered to ask.
As far as interviews invite. If you figure that acceptance rate is around 20%, and you have roughly a 50% chance once you interview you have to figure they interview around 40% of the applicant pool.
My understanding from R1, was that they were all during the weekdays.
At least those done on campus were all during the week as they make it into more of an all day activity with lunch and opportunities to tour the school and audit a class.
Good luck to all those waiting for interview invites! In case there are any Advance Access applicants on this thread--
