My application materials are ready to be submitted for Round 2 which is due today, but unfortunately, until just now, I didn’t notice that the application has to be submitted by 12.00 p.m ET.
may I still submit my application today and have a chance to be considered?

Regards.

I’m really sorry about this too. HBS is especially harsh as it doesn’t even have a third round to roll you too. Good luck with other schools!

*roll you to

i applied for app fee waiver through the form available in the application. Its a need based waiver. You need to mention your circumstance and your family income and you income. The decisions generally comes within a week. For me it was because my whole family got covid and me and my father are the only earning members and we were still paying our hospital bills. I mentioned that I would have been able to pay the application fee a few months ago but now it doesnt seem possible because of our financial situation and they approved the waiver

I believe that if it is submitted around the right time it will be included:

Taken from the 8/20/12 post on the "From the Director" blog:

September 24 - 'Application deadline. 12 noon. There's no official "early bird special" or reason to submit earlier than the deadline, as in we're not reading applications now and our process isn't "rolling". However, the server will get backed up on the morning of the deadline and that will cause you stress. Although I hate to advertise this, we don't actually turn off the system exactly at noon - if you're in the process of submitting around that time, we will include you in that round.'

Submitted my application with a self-reported score and then received my official GMAT score report from GMAC only a couple of days ago. Sent that across to HBS and awaiting confirmation from AdCom that they've attached it to my application.

They seemed a bit shaky about receiving it late when I discussed it with them earlier so I hope it's not an issue. I don't see why they'd penalize students for GMAC taking six weeks to return an official score - that's something completely out of my hands.

Anyway, good luck to everyone else who applied in R2!

Waitlisted applicant from R1 here. Anyone hear back from Eileen yet? Just to confirm we didn’t have to do anything to stay on the waitlist, correct? You just had to email if you wanted to get off the waitlist?

Is this an absolute rule? If the GMAT is the only problem in a profile, the applicant takes the test before the interview decisions, will they still be likely to reject the applicant?

It is likely a hard rule. The way to look at it is, "What if ALL 10,000 people applying submitted updated tests AFTER the deadline?" It would be a chaotic mess for the adcom. So there has to be the same cutoff for everyone. Hope that makes sense.
