Please explain Q2 and Q3

Q2 confused with E. I understand that pastimes of vassals are not mentioned. Can we consider the exchange of resources between peasants and kings as an early form of taxation? - ,

Q3 Confused between C and D.
Where is it mentioned kings provided their vassals with protection. There is no definition of vassals.
Why is D wrong. Exchange-->led to aristocracy--> led to war.

" In order to justify the continued extraction of resources from the peasants, the kings and lords had to provide security."
